Just returned from an awesome 2 week Honeymoon (didn't go anywhere special - just relaxed to the max!!).

No I'm not actually going to write this as an actual ode - that would be silly and time consuming......
Anywho - Haven't blogged in a while because I've been busying studying for exams, moving house, planning a wedding etc :D And most of my Gamespot time I spend at the Outcasts (which you should all be members of by now...If not click here!!!)
So this is a friendly update for those who care:
Seriously, life during exam study is bizarre - when I'm not studying I'm thinking about studying, and I start feeling guilty!! It sucks man, nothing awesome about it (and I'm all about the awesome!).
Games I'm play atm (when not studying) - Borderlands (seems ok) and Fallout 2 (until the FOnline wipe).
Can't wait till summer - gonna be the best summer of my life (wedding/new house). But until then it's time to return to my study.....
Peace out
Well I'm sorta back.....
I've realised Gamespot is a great way to wind down from a psycho day of work + study. So I'll stay active but regular blogging and posting in any other union thats not the Outcast will have to be put on a temporary hold.
Started my final term. It's O&g. Kinda full on - too much shift work. And Exams are only 9 and a hlaf weeks away....
It's September and still raining here in West Aus, can't wait till summer proper (mostly cause my chillis will actually grow! - but also cause no uni!!)
Nothing else to update really. See you all around!
With exams only 11 weeks away now, and having started a new rotation last week I have been up to my eye balls in work! So sorry I haven't been as active as I usually am. And a big sorry to the outcast union - I really wanted to contribute as much as possible but haven't been able to yet.
It will be another couple of weeks before I can start coming on regularly again. I will still pop on and see whats happening, and by the time summer comes around and I'm on holidays (well....they aren't really holidays - but thats a story for another day) I'll be back in full swing!!
See everyone again soon!
Number 9
Lumines! Live!
This 2006 XBOX 360 Arcade game came free with my XBOX. It wasn't until I had owned my XBOX for several months that I thought I'd give it a whirl (must have been a slow afternoon). Big mistake! Huge! Theres something about little cubes falling on a screen that sucks me right it!! It's not good!
The game is simple enough, make a cube! Not too hard, and it's not really, but it becomes all about speed and chaining multiple cubes from one drop. It's not an amazing game at all, and it's not original, but I was (past tense) addicted to it none the less. At the height of my addiction I would close my eyes at night after playing it for several hours and see the game replayed in my head! It was truely horrible!!
And I should note that my fiance loves this game! Behind Fable 2 and Sims 3 it would probably make 3rd on her all time favourite list!
I never made any promises about this list being respectable, so at Number 9 we have Lumines - Live!
It's the last round of footy (that's Australian Rules Football) this weekend, and Dad and I are going to watch the West Coast Eagles (my team) take on the Richmond Tigers (a team from Victoria, on the east side of Australia).
So the saga goes (and I promise I'll make it quick):
So it's the last game of the year, Friday night, 50,000 people cramed into Subiaco oval all eagerly awaiting Ben's first game against the Eagles at home. And I'll be one of those 50,000.
So what i wanna know, should I boo when he comes out (and everytime he touches the ball) or cheer (cause he was a legend once upon a time and kind of helped win us a Grand Final)?
Give me your opinions people! I need to know!
I was finding it too difficult to decide my favourite games of all time, so I've decided to warm up with my favourite games I became totally addicted too! Some are clasy, some not so clasy. Some are clasic, others will make you want to point and laugh at me. (NB: the spelling mistakes are due to GameSpot wanting to sensor the word "clas-s" - they don't know why apparently). None the less, here is my list:
Number 10
Star Wars: X-Wing
This 1993 PC clasic is an 'as simple as they come' flight simulator where you pilot predominantly an X-Wing, but also an A or Y-Wing from the well known and popular franchise Star Wars.
I was 6 when my Dad bought this game, but that didn't stop me from learning how to use the joystick and turn those enemy Tie Fighters into dust!! Suffice to say it was the first game I ever remember playing, and after I grew up a little it became somewhat of an obsession (despite various sequels being brought out - they were never as good). I would spend HOURS trying to win all of the badges. And some were hard too, nearly impossible as I remember! I was so addicted I eventually broke our only joystick (which to this day has never been replaced) and I eventually copied all 3 floppy disks onto a CD so as to store it safely should I ever have the desire to play it again!
So number 10 on my list goes to the first of my many addictions, a catalyst for what would one day become a love of computer games!
Next Week: Number 9 (cause that wasn't already obvious?)
Glad that's over. Not that it wasn't a lot of fun, but this weekend just gone seemed busier then a normal week!
Started out with a lot of work at my new house. All the carpet is taken out now, and patched most of the cracks so we are ready to paint. Then on Saturday had my sisters boyfriends 21st. A brewery tour. I drank way to many of these:
Yep, thats a 1.2L stein! Resulted in a throbbing headache on Sunday. Then I had a do or die softball game, needed to win to make the finals! And we won by 1! So that was good. And then I had to prepare for starting a new rotation today(despite my throbbing headache!). And let me tell you, studying neurology + hangover = not much fun!
And now that I'm back at work I have time to go on the internet :) isn't life wierd?
This weeks agenda:
Oh, and I didn't really wanna mention it after I was so confident in my last blog entry, but yeah, Australia kinda lost the Ashes! Gonna have to wait till summer 2010/11 to win them back now :(
Peace out!
P.S. Also writing this in a hurry cause I'm busy, so excuse the bad spelling!
At stumps day 1 England are 8/307, thanks to the beautiful bowling of Siddle who took 4 of the wickets!
Remembering Australia only needs a draw to retain the Ashes, I'm starting to feel slightly confident. Hopefully we bat well on Day 2 and get ourselves a nice lead. The only thing better than retaining the Ashes with a draw is beating the Poms!! :)
In completely non-cricket related news, The Fallout Outcasts Union is up and running. If your a Fallout series fan you should check it out here, it's gonna be tops!
Well I'm gonna play some Fallout 2, then head off to work. And after work off to my 'house' to do some more work on the renovations (so as to make it livable!). Gonna be a busy day!
Com' on the AUSSIES!!!
I've decided that instead of blogging about chilli's (I was nearly about to again today) I would try and start up a union.
I know it's not game related but there are already LOTS of gaming unions and I thought I would provided something different. I don't anticipate the union being very big, but if there are 20 ppl on GameSpot who like chilli like I do, it'll be fun to share tips, knowledge, stories, recipes, and whatever comes to mind. Should offer a nice contrast to all the gaming unions out there. So if your keen, PM me so I can have some folks help to get the ball rolling!
I should say inspiration also came from the Scrubs union. I didn't know there were non-game related unions, they have opened my eyes.
And speaking of unions, I don't know if JMC is just trying to keep us in suspence, but it's working! Can't wait for the new Fallout Outcasts union!
Peace out
Kyle
P.S. Didn't spell check this post so sorry for any mistakes!
