IMHO FF7 Sure the graphics sequences can't beat the other FFs but the storyline by far made up for it. I still laugh when i manage to get Barett for the Gold Saucer Date.
Fatal Frame. One time i was playing and my brother crept up on me, wrecked the TV by chucking the controller at it. I guess that was the "first wii-like casualty"
FFXII has its own merits. I guess it deserves at least a 8.5 for beating some life into the already dilapidated PS2 Graphics engine. But you do have points that the earlier games like VI have way better stories and gameplays. But to compete graphically, which seems to be the focus of games nowadays, Final Fantasies have to start cutting back on compelling storylines. i dunno i feel like i'm rambling. >.>
