A digital takeover, if even possible, is actually a long way off and here's why. The public's issues with Xbox One's previous policies are to me a sign that in the current state of games development most gamers aren't ready to part with the kind of ownership one is usually granted with a disk. Not to mention that publishers would possibly gain too much control over our playtime. For instance, most high end games you play on android devices require a periodical online connection to work, and it can get annoying when you're not connected.

Many commentators fail to realize that production costs, hardware format, and pricing structure has allowed digital media to flourish as well as it has on android and iOS devices. In order for digital media to rightfully expand in the home console market their needs to be a super efficient system of online connectivity in play and a change in software distribution. Games need to become smaller and cheaper. When all this happens, then we can talk about a possible digital takeover.

Honestly, if you think about it, the joke was a bit disturbing. But, aside from that I feel that the state might be overreacting, just maybe. And anyway they should put the kid on house arrest so that his father can look after him. No one who's yet to be proven guilty deserves prison. Unless of course that individual can't stay out of trouble.

Clearly the meeting wasn't about core gamers. I mean, it wasn't about gamers at all. But, it wasn't supposed to be. Microsoft made that clear before the meeting. The meeting was just a console reveal. And the company talked about the non-gaming features while they were at it to open their schedule for a full games conference at E3. What, would you guys rather Microsoft talked about Netflix during E3? And those game trailers we saw in the meeting were just put there to prevent the baffling confusion we're getting now from the gaming community. Anyway, that's my 2 cents, and I personally can't wait to find out more about the games coming to the Xbox at E3.
