They should have never released the HD DVD drive in the first place if it wasn't included in the base model.Now there is a chance a developer might use that drive for a game splitting the market for the 360 that could be a problem!!Yes I know Microsoft said it was for video only but that won't stop an enterprising developer from using it.mj53916

This goes back to one of the bigger advantages to the 360...lower price. They never intended or wanted to release the console with a HD-DVD drive built in because that would have brought the price up to near PS3 levels and taken away their advantage. As for a rogue developer making games for the HD drive...what?
