Great game, great devs, well deserved.

Pretty much everything "PC Online" is a hackfest.
People whine about XBL but $50/year is well worth it for professionally hosted servers.
It's like Apple's "walled garden" concept.
keep believing so
@deadline-zero0:
The models scale back during gameplay. Uncharted, God of War, etc. These games don't display the high polygon models all the time. That's true for any game. Doing so would be extremely lazy and inefficient.
not according to many people here(or just one person and many alts), Uncharted 4 cut scenes look the same as gameplay!
PC: Dark souls 3
Ps4: Horizon
Wii U: Zelda
Xbox = well I was initially going to buy it this year but MS was kind enough to put QB and Scalebound on pc and save me 300€(maybe I'll buy elite controller instead?)
@aigis obviously they are, but like you saw with Bloodborne a full out exclusive where they only had to make it run well on that one platform, it ran like crap on release, now its a bit better but still quite bad with frame times/ load times etc
given how different platforms pc and ps3 still were, they actually had to do quite a bit of work to land dark souls on PC, this isn't the case anymore.
and while the games look almost the same on console and pc, they still run better on pc
@howmakewood: Its not superior in the slightest, unless they fixed everything in DS2. DS on PC is so obviously made for consoles, the camera is for consoles and all the graphical options are locked away. I agree that most pc versions of multiplats are better, but DS' pc port just felt like it wasnt made for pc
okay the DS pc port was shit w/o dsfix, but with that it ran much better than the console one did, I own it on both ps3 and PC
DS2 performed great at launch on the PC, but running the game on 60fps did cause the engine issues like durability draining faster than vs 30fps, this got fixed when the ps4/xbone versions came out. Then the Scholar of First Sin update made it even better and was practically free if you owned DS2.
Like I said earlier, From makes great games but they are technically awful on both pc and consoles
@Vaasman You are correct, I did not actually watch that video as I'm still at work, just saw it being 1080p 60fps
comments on the vid do show it's the ps4 version and indeed 30fps
That's definitely a good pick, but I have to go with Uncharted.
The shooting and platforming, while they may seem elementary to a novice, do indeed betray your expectations once you're exposed to their limitless depth. Relatively easy to learn, but nearly impossible to master. To compliment these expansive systems, Uncharted also brings us a melee system that might as well be a top tier fighting game unto itself. I always laugh when people look to games like Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, etc. as some sort of fisticuffs simulations that are worthy of marvel when Uncharted gives you that experience and so much more.
Then there are puzzles that can twist the minds of even the most seasoned gamers and send them running to Youtube for answers, tails tucked between their legs. Once I was stumped on a puzzle in Uncharted for 14 hours straight. These days I have to set an alarm clock to let me know when to give up and consult a specialist.
And you want to talk complexity? Most games (Total War included) are merely toys. True complexity is the complexity of emotion and Uncharted has this in SPADES my friend. Tears of sadness, tears of joy, tears from laughter. Anger, love, angst, it's all there for the taking. Uncharted is like a movie if movies didn't suck (by comparison mind you), it's an emotional roller coaster, far too complex for most gamers, but for us intellectual gamers? It's the height of this medium. Every day I'm grateful that Naughty Dog went out of their way to weave these intricate threads that will undoubtedly be lost on most gamers.
Sorry, but brainless shooters arent complex.
