Im not sure if this is in the right forum, so feel free to move it if it's out of place.
Currently I'm in need of a new internet connection because using my landlord's cable isn't cutting it for me. I play a lot of sc2(my profile:http://www.sc2ranks.com/us/1296221/LuciD) and CS:S zombie mod and it's making gaming impossible because the latency is too high. Im currently looking for a internet connection type that has the lowest possible latency, to prevent lag. I don't do mass downloads so a potential speed of one million terabytes per second isn't that appealing to me, I just need to lowest possible latency so I won't lag out every goddamn game I play.
I live in Thornhill, Ontario and currently Bell canada is offering "New, next generation fibre optic network". Now I don't know if this is fiber to home or not (or if it even makes a difference), but I'm currently debating on DSL, cable or this fiber optics network. Anyone know anything in regards to internet connection? Replies that go a bit into detail as to why a certain connection is better are greatly appreciated.
Thankyou
