Zelda Ocarina Of Time.

I feel kinda bad for admitting this but here goes. I never understood the hype with zelda games, i played a link to the past when i was a kid and don't get me wrong, i thought it was really good. The next zelda i played was ocarina of time, that was on the gamecube and i just didn't get the hype, why was this game classed as amazing? I didn't even get passed the Deku tree! The next zelda i played was twilight princess, again i wasn't impressed at all and quit after only a few hours. Actually i think i even played a bit of wind waker and didn't like that either. Even after not liking most of the zelda games, i still pre-ordered skyward sword bundled with the golden wiimote. I enjoyed skyward sword a lot more but still i never even got half way into the game.Last week for some weird reason i bought ocarina of time on the 3DS, I wanted to see how it looked on the handheld, im more of a handheld person so i was hoping i might enjoy it more. Now after all these years i finally get it, i get the hype! Im currently around 8 hours into Ocarina of time on the 3DS and its completely blown me away, i just can't stop playing. This game is amazing and my fave 3DS game so far, not only does this game look stunning but it plays so brilliantly, im loving every minute. Now i wanna go back and give some of the others another go, im gonna be starting skyward sword again once iv finished OOT and see if i feel differently now. Im really hoping for another Zelda game for the 3DS in the future or even another remake would be good. I now feel like im a huge zelda fan, better late then never i guess:)

Wow i havent written here in ages

Well hello gamespot, i didn't realise how long its been since i blogged on here. I wish i could say i have all sorts of exciting news and gossip to talk about but unfortunately no.Iv spent the last few months in complete misery because i HATE summer! Im british ok and now that i live in canada i have to deal with crazy temperatures, it has literally been the hottest summer i have ever experienced. I went to the UK to visit my family in May and come back 2 weeks later and its like living in the desert and has been like that until last week. That is a long time to live in crazy humidity if your not used to it, one day it was 36degrees and the wind was blowing and it was like having a hot hair drying blowing in your face, not nice. So yeah, iv spent the last 5 months or so being very angry and depressed and i wasnt really able to go outside. Anyway now its normal temperatures i am happy again and excited about a nice cold winter, as soon as it snows im gonna put a bikini on and roll around in it! HA HA So i didn't buy any games for around 3 months! I know, shocking isnt it. See i thought i might be moving back to the UK so i had to save up every penny for that but i decided to hell with that im gonna stay put, so i went on a little spending spree and bought a few games. One of which was saints row the third and my god that game is addictive, i love the whole customization, its like playing the sims only you have a crazy amount of options. I also bought Zelda ocarina of time for the 3DS, iv never completed that game and i have to admit it looks beautiful on the 3DS, they did a fantastic job. So yeah iv done pretty much nothing for the last few months.

I bought a 3DS!

Yes i finally bought a 3DS, someone told me they were on sale at walmart for $120 so i went and picked up the pearl pink one plus i get the $20 rebate from nintendo so overall i think i got the best bargain ever! So having only played on the 3ds for about an hour id like to give my first impressions and the pros and cons that i can see at the moment. I like to get the cons overwith so here they are- First thing i notice was the sound quality, im very disappointed with how low it is but its fine i can live with that. I usually play on my dsi xl which has very loud sound, most of the time i cant play it on full volume so i guess thats why i noticed this straight away. I already owned a 3DS game, tales of the Abyss and im not overwhelmed by the graphics at all, it looks like what a decent DS game would look like and the 3D just doesn't look right to me. The screens are small but again im used to playing an XL so this is something that i would notice more then others im sure but i think i could easily get used to it. Ok so onto the pros- So i downloaded a few demos, i tried resident evil revelations and wow this game really shows what the 3DS can do, the 3D in this game is fantastic, these are the kind of graphics i was expecting from this system and i can't wait to pick this game up. I also tried out nintendogs plus cats and this game also looks great, when the dog started licking my screen it was like the slobber was coming out at me! Messing around with the AR cards is pretty fun, i havent had the chance to add any friends or anything on streetpass, im still getting used to all this new awesome stuff. Alot of people think the 3D is just a gimmick but i have to argue with that, if done right and not rushed it can make a game experience more exciting, resident evil revelations is a prime example! Anyway as i said i have only used the system and hour or so and still getting used to it, i might do a full review on it once iv spent more time on it. Being a huge DS fan, this system has a lot to live up to in my eyes but so far im liking it and i don't regret my purchase. Im eagerly awaiting the release of a few games like kingdom hearts 3D,Animal crossing, luigis mansion 2 and paper mario. I think its gonna be a great year for the 3DS!

Where do you buy your game's from?

So i was wondering where everyone buys their games from? I used to always buy from EB games but recently i had a spending spree on amazon. I had never used them before, i bought 3 DS games and a wii mote charging station, im very happy with how quick they delivered but when i went into EB games yesterday i noticed a game i payed $34.99 for was in there for just $20! As you can imagine im pretty annoyed. I did however notice i saved alot of money on 2 of the other ds games, they were a lot more expensive in EB. Seems like you really have to shop around to get the best prices! I heard that a lot of people buy games from places like walmart these days, i do buy games from there sometimes, you don't really get any big bargains there though. I am trying to find an alternative to EB because i hate the fact that they sell games *new* but when they hand them over their all open and the boxes are in terrible condition, this has happened several time's to me. Anyway tell me where you get the best bargains from?

Its the most horrible time of the year

Yep, its that time of year again, January! I hate it when the holidays are over and its back to the same old boring stuff. I havent been on gamespot much, been too busy buying and playing games on steam for the last month! Im new to the whole steam thing and i cant believe the great deals over the holidays. Altogether i bought 15 games, you can imagine my internet bill?! Iv been desperately trying not to go over my bandwidth limit, its really hard when i wanna install all the great games i got. I was sent over a DS game for xmas from my mum, rune factory 3, i have number 2 and frontier but this one has to be my favorite, im officially addicted. I also got kirby's return to dreamland, im liking it so far. I bought blur from steam and it is awesome, i don't know why this game wasn't more popular, im having a blast with it! I also bought fable 3 which im really enjoying to, iv heard some bad things about that game but so far its everything i expected. Im still debating whether or not to get a 3DS, iv been hearing rumors of a new rune factory coming to it in japan, hopefully it will be released in canada. Anyway thats about all for now, i hope you all enjoyed xmas:)

PC Gaming

Hi guys and girls, friday was an exciting day for me, a very special package was delivered to me! Around 2 weeks ago i ordered a new pc, iv been using a sony laptop for 2 years, its been a good laptop but i wasnt able to play any games on it and recently iv been wanting to start pc gaming, i wanted to try out the witcher 2 and other pc games so i decided to invest in a decent pc. I used to play pc games around 6 years ago but i did not have enough money back then to keep my computer up to date so it became outdated pretty quickly.

So i managed to get myself a fairly decent deal on a Dell computer, i also bought a new 23" screen to go with it and i am blown away by how beautiful it runs. I bought the witcher 2 at the weekend and tried it out, the game is fantastic, im finding the controls quite difficult since i havent played a game like this on a pc before, i only use to play rise of nations and sim city games. I can even manage to run the game on ultra without to much difficulty which is amazing considering my laptop struggled to play youtube videos half the time.

Anyway im not so clued up about specs but i had my husband sort all that out:). My pc is a-

Dell XPS 8300 Intel core i5-2320 cpu @ 3.00GHz

8GB RAM

AMD Radeon HD 6450

Also i cant believe how quiet this thing is, my last pc was so noisey and annoying!

Me and my DS

Yes the nintendo ds is nearing the end of its life and im sure a lot of ds fans have already moved onto the 3ds, most people probably think the ds is dead already but not me. I bought my first ds around a year after they were first released, i got the pearl pink one that came bundled with nintendogs, i think it was actually a xmas gift. At the time i really wanted one after playing a few games in the store, i was so looking forward to xmas to get it.

Well i have to say back then i was actually pretty disappointed in it, i bought a few games for it played it once or twice in the first few months and didnt touch it again until i got animal crossing wild world, i loved that game so much and must have put hundreds of hours into it overall. Still, that was the only game i really go into. Fast forward to 2009 and i decided to sell a lot of games for it, i had princess peach which i sold aswell as other mario games, at the time i needed the money because i was emigrating to canada and needed every penny i could get. I was left with about 6 games, 6 really mediocre games. I didn't want to sell my pink ds, i figured it was probably worthless anyway so i kept it.

At the start of 2011 i decided i was gonna try again with the ds, i went and bought the red 25th anniversary red one, its beautiful! Anyway over the course of the year i must have bought about 30 games, i love pretty much every game i have bought this year and now i am ds obsessed. Its great because there are so many ds games out there for really cheap, i get some amazing bargains, i know im late to the party but im having a blast. Now i just wanna collect every game i possible can for it, i don't know why i didn't see its awesomeness before? Oh well better late then never i guess! The only problem im having now is do i buy the 3DS or wait for a bigger library of games? I know as soon as the new animal crossing comes out i probably wont be able to stop myself anyway.

Hello gaming friends!

How is everyones day going? Mines pretty boring actually, iv done nothing at all today except eat, does anyone ever have any days where they just eat non stop? Maybe its a girl thing i dunno. Anyway i decided to stop playing skyrim until all the problems are fixed(if that ever happens) and im concentrating on skyward sword for now, iv just finished the first dungeon and im liking it so far.

Nearly xmas! This will be my second xmas away from my mum and dad and all the rest of the family, i couldn't afford to fly over to the uk again this year but hopefully i will see them in september by then it will be over 2 years since i saw them!:(

Anyway i hope your all well today:D

Skyrim!

I don't usually buy games the day they come out but in this case i had to, i guess i got sucked in by the hype but it was hyped for a good reason, this game rocks! Im so addicted to it its crazy, i just wanna play it all day long. Im also purchasing zelda(bundle) on sunday when it comes out and im pretty excited for that to. Once i get my hands on that im gonna have to to stop buying so many games, my bank account can't handle it!

I think i will be doing a review for skyrim soon, im only 11 hours in but im pretty sure its gonna be my favourite game this year. I hope everyone else out there are enjoying it as much as me:)

Skyward sword/Saints row the third

Big dilemma, which one to get? I had my heart set on saints row, i wasn't even gonna get skyward sword until next year but i seem to have changed my mind. I think the zelda bundled with the gold remote and cd may have swung it for me! I would love to get both but couldn't possibly afford it right now, why oh why do the awesome games have to come out so close to xmas! I still need to get the new kirby game, unchartered 3,mw3 and skyrim! Anyone else out there having problems because of the huge amount of amazing games coming out this month?

:D
