It's really terrible if it all just depends on pure luck. Because luck has never been real fair. Some people have them, some people don't. That's not how people want to play their video games, esp on things like levelling. Item find is a different story. Your level is one of the core variables in defeating an enemy.

The Maiden who Travels the Planet

A short story set half-way through the events of Final Fantasy VII. Deals with Aerith's experiences upon entering the Lifestream.
Note: You can find a fan translation here.

On the Way to a Smile
A novella which takes place between the events of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Deals with the lives of Denzel, Tifa and Barret.
Note: Official English translations were included in the North American limited edition box set, but you can find translations of the Denzel and Tifa stories in the link above. The Barret story was exclusive to the box set, so you'll probably have to track it down in order to read it.

I JUST UNLIKE THE THOSE ROLES'S YELLOW GUMHAIR AND ASIANFACE-WHITE PEOPLE. AND A LOT OF IMAGINARY FANTASTIC STORY.

F.E.A.R. and DOOM'S STORY ARE SIMPLE AND GOOD.

BUT I AGREE JAPANESE GAMES ARE GREAT. IT'S OUR CHILHOOD.

Now, that there just sounds more xenophobic than anything else. Oops sorry, too big a word for you? It means people who don't like foreign people.

And can you stop typing in cabs? It baits all the n00b-PKers to your mom.

I don't know if you people know this or not, but the Japanese happen to have a certain NATIONAL PRIDE. It's not their fault if they like to create characters that looks more Asian than say, american? And Fear and Doom are just another genre all together. You don't like fantasy story? fine. I don't like mindless FPS.

No way, not another movie. Advent children was great but I need to be a part of the action. With the quality of CGI in Crisis Core you get the best of both worlds. You get to play a fun game and enjoy movie quality cut-scenes.festivebacon

I kinda wish I could be in a little more of the action. Sometimes, I don't even need to walk up to somewhere, the cutscene does it for me >_> I'm playing a movie, that I am. The random-like leveling doesn't help much^^;

Sure, there's no more of those annoying post-battle screens that you usually jam the x button to get it over with XD; That's a good thing, I guess

I don't know what they're doing, but wiht all the prequels, sequels they've been feeding us, the next year or something is the best time for them if they want to rerelease FFVII. As it is, i can't find the games anywhere anymore.

And what do you mean you can already play FFVII on psp? If you mean by that whole modding/downgrading of the psp, then that doesn't count does it? I still can't play it cos I don't wanna risk bricking my baby altho it's one of the reasons I BOUGHT my psp. TO play FFVII on the go. What a poo.

I don't know zack just seems so cool now like he is the true master and cloud is such a loser lol and if cloud would not have ever met zack he would not be where he is nowliljoker555

not too sure. Have you played FFVII to know what Cloud is?

If you limit the poll to just Crisis Core, yes, I am sorry for Cloud cos he barely got much. But the actual appeal in Cloud comes later in FFVII. You shouldn't use words like "loser" so freely. It could get attached to you.

why only those 2?

I haven't finished the game, but from the cutscene compilation, I think they're just too different.

Personality-wise, Zack wins for having such a restless puppy-charm quality. Reminds me of Reno. Character development-wise, I agree with an above poster that Zack has nothing on Cloud's development in FFVII.

In FFVII, the whole plot was just a mess of intriguing surprise, a lot of which was about who Cloud really was. In FFCC, I don't think anything of the same happened to Zack. The plot surprises are mostly about the people around him? Please excuse me if the last part may be wrong.

Chronologically, Crisis Core happens first. But IMHO if you play crisis core before hand, a certain enigma in FFVII will lose it's mysterious feel and just leave you feeling confused, in the "Wait... wha-? But didn't? Wasn't it-" kind of way.

playing ffvii first is better. But in this current generation, will you be able to go back to playing those polygonal characters? I've had friends who thought highly of ff7 until they saw me playing the original game. More than they were disappointed in the game, i was disappointed in them and their comfy cradle of awesome graphics...

p/s : I'm really surprised at the first few posters who says to play CC first since it's a prequel and that it wouldn't spoil anything. Have they even played Final Fantasy VII at least halfway through? Or has it been just that long that they forget what's happened in there that gave it its plot twist? :S

If anything, I believe japanese people are capable of making some of the most intriguing and intricate storylines. What their weakness may be, is in making an equally epic ending to match. Some endings are a little too anticlimax.

And as for the Japanese RPG hater, well. Fable only lasted me a day.

FOR THOSE WHO LIKES FF.

Do you guys just like the post FFVII games, that actually has nice cutscenes?

I've seen stupid fangirls squealing blissfully unawaress over vincent, sephiroth, and all only to be completely devastated when they saw the actual polygonal game. Tch to them I say.
