Its clear that GS (this isnt only aimed at GS but any other popular game sites) most of been paid to put Red Dead Redemption forward for so many awards this year. It really doesn't take much to see that they are biased. I say this because I just tried to read through the nominees in the varius categories to see what games i missed and if i should make a pass at them since im on holiday from work this week.

But it seems to me that game review mediums are totally here to spin the hype wheel for games. How many previews do you read of 'this game is set to be amazing'how many after playing preview code have you heard 'this is such a wonderful game' only to get 6/10 in reviews and insults about the game mechanics or lack of etc (does anyone rememebr the review of 'Majin and the forsaken kingdom' for which the summary now reads "Simplistic combat and tedious backtracking don't fully diminish the pleasures of this attractive and festive fable.").

It seems more and more clear that the point of GS is to create hype for games so we buy them. They most be paid for advertising/ articles that they write.

An body else see this or am i just disillusioned? Anyway what do i know right? :-/

As of right now GEOW2 is console graphics king, it has won numerous polls here. And don't say polls mean nothing bc cows were not saying that when we did the same for Uncharted which was the consolse graphics king, MGS4 never was. Killzone 2 will dethrone Gears and then RE5, Alan Wake, Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 will have something to say later on.

sadly i dont really have the money for both and will have to take money from other more important parts of my life..and have a joint account with wife..makes it more difficult lol.

as i dont have a arcade stick and cant really use them i might have to get both..

I am buying an xbox 360 today and wanted to ask if I can use the 1 month free that comes with it and use my old xbox live acount on it or do I need to buy an xbox live card for that?

I happen to be one of the fortunate people to have a x360, ps3 and a wii. The trouble for me is which version of Street fighter 4 do i get? I have been debating thi with myself for many months as its the one game ive really wanted more than all others. I love street fighter since the first time i had a snes and my school friends came roun and i whoope everyone with Chunli's hundred thousand kick and the jump an heavy kicy routine :D that was around 19 years ago.

However the real issue for me is my bro. As he is my Arch-nemisis when it comes to games since its always just been him vs me for atleast 14 years (before the wonders of online gaming) we know everything about how we play. So hes my greatest challenge (although i havnt really been any challenge for him as he completley owns me most games except beat em ups). He's younger and i want to destoy him forever more...but the pad..

you see the problem? What would you do? sarifice the perfect pad or sacrifice your greatest happines of ko'ing your lifelong nemisis??

ps. if i cant get any good suggestions my final sollution is to get the xtra special limited edition £70 special edition (comes with manga film, figurine and some other extra) on either console and then get the plain ass copy on the other. :) jus have to hide the reciept from wife as it wil cost about £100-£110 and no matter how i look at i, i cant justify it
