You sure about that? I think one of the major beefs a lot of people have with Americans is that they make such a huge deal over one attack, whereas other areas in the world have to deal with death and sectarian violence on a regular basis.

theone86

That's true of every country. No society is so cosmopolitan that it cares no more about its own tragedies than others'.

But not every country spends as much time and money making with ceremonies and rememberances for every single attack as the U.S. does.

True, although the comparison is hardly fair given that the USA has an exceptional amount of those resources.

I'm so sick of all the different ceremonies and unending video spots that if I had a flag I'd burn it, and I'm as white as white bread.

Somehow I doubt their motive was annoyance at the media saturation

umm have you ever been sexually assaulted? its not something you can get over so easily. there is no "just get over it"

Arthur96

I know more people who've gotten over being sexually assaulted then being killed...

Honestly, I don't get what's so traumatising about being assaulted(sexually). Yeah, the guy hits the girl a few times, he has sex against her will.

But what's so traumatic that's hard to get over? It's not like he kills the woman's children in front of her or anything...

Ever considered working as a rape counsellor?

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="Ace6301"]I think he wanted a more concise version of what it is rather than having to wiki walk all the way through quantum and theoretical physics sections.Ace6301
I don't think its possible to understand it without some background in quantum physics. I know I don't get it.

I have this crazy feeling it's one of those things that no one really "gets". I guess in time we'll see, assuming they can get the LHC to actually function properly what with all the hangups it's had.

People get it. As far as I know it doesn't really demand any more understanding than particle physics in general.

easy for you to say since you never really knew what honour is.

Harisemo

Why exactly does Droid not know what honor is? This should be good.

because it's not exactly a big deal in the shameless western culture and some people being the product of such culture cannot grasp what honour is.

Never had one, but I find it extremely interesting, I think it can't be a coincidence that so many people, in isolated cases, have had such similar experiences with astral proyections.

I'm actually going to make a school proyect about it.
