my favorite is the original halo by far. i've been gaming a long time and nothing has come so close to perfection for me. also have soft spots for quake 3 and cod4 on that list. two of the finest mp shooters out there even to this day.
and yuck at halflife 2, no shooter with garbage ai and bland shooting mechanics should be winning this thread.

halo is JRPG of FPS genre. very childish and cartoony. on other hand Half life is a game design for intellectual manly man with big muscles.
