i'll go for:
1. King of Fighters- any KOF will do, though, there are a lot of cheap players out there, personally, i really love going around and challenging different gamers in other malls, or arcade shop. i love the rush, and the tension it gives. as of now, we have KOFXI, not the best but better than nothing
2. Mortal Kombat Series - this is the reason why i bought PS2, after watching the opening movie in www.youtube.com
3. Guilty Gear - this game speaks for itself, good game play, nice characters, and fast pace action.

of, so i am a 2d fanatic(except for the different versions of mortal kombat). but lets face it, they are better than 3d games. i don't think i can go on playing 3d fighting games for more than 4 hours.

i've been a gamer all my life, so, going back to the topic, in ps2 and psx/ps1 there is no game there that i played that i didn't beat, some are hard, yes, but some, well, they're too easy they make you cry. in old consoles, there are a lot, i mean, almost close to impossible, maybe i suck when i was a kid, but then again, i was able to finish contra(in NES) with out loosing a single life. the games that i am talking about are: punch out and double dragon1. i haven't heard of anybody who can beat it. there are a lot of guys who tells me this ... how to do things... and all that yapping, they can definately talk the talk, walking the walk is another thing.

well, i am not sure if you know this game guys but have you heard of yar's revenge(hope i spelled it right, i think its yarr's or something)? its a very old game, i mean, we're talking about atari atari console. now why, you may ask. well, i am not a very sentimental person but i think it deserves one. and when was the last time i played that? i think michael jackson is still black(and i think he's still straight that time). going on, it has cool title, nice sound(oh come on, that was nice compared to other atari games back then) and, a long life span. ok, so it has a cool title period, but if prince of persai got a second chance, i think every old game does deserves one as well. among others are:
1. bust a move/bust a groove -- the part 2 sucks, big time, so i thought, they're gonna make a third installment.
2. crono trigger - crono cross is not even close

compared to previews versions, i think they made a greate leap. its not in a mansion anymore, or a recycled mansion (the police district). it's kinda creepy if you're expecting something like the old resident evil and probably it will take a lot of getting used to. i was so freak out when i played it for the first time. considering it is in a forest and the people out there are like cults with a strange accent and language. i mean, put yourself in leon's shoes(thats the whole idea of playing right?), i bet it'll drive you crazy. try to play it alone, in a dark room.

if you did that, and die, don't expect to respawn in your last saving point. just a piece of advice
