I have never understood why people make these considering it's a person's thoughts and opinions and they are putting it out for everyone to see. It’s time that I succumb to curiosity and create a blog of my own and see how long it takes for anyone to notice. Curiosity kills the cat but obviously humans are a little luckier considering everything we know comes from curiosity. The posting of this blog is difficult because currently my mind is stuck upon Donnie Darko which is a bad ass movie. It causes one to think about the different possibilities of our world and our lives as well as causing you to wonder what would you sacrifice for your friend, family, and the one person in the world that you truly love with all of your heart. Everything we know and do is all products of our wish to know more, impress other people, and, last but not least, to leave a mark on this world so that we can continue to live even after our deaths. No one knows what lies on the other side of death except those who have died, why do we kill over such an unknown area and yet that very unknown area is what brings to people together in commonality. humanity contradicts its own existence in the fact that our entire goal in life it to help others, this is stated in almost every religion that i have heard or read about thereby providing us with a basis on what every human wants, and yet in the process of helping people we harm others and even harm ourselves trying to please someone who may or may not be grateful for this help. Our world has changed far beyond any divine plan that could have been designed because we attack each other over trivial things, death and destruction are all around us and we don’t notice or just plain don’t care. we humans have neglected the most important thing that is needed to survive in a world of extremes and ever changing environments, instinct, this base reaction seems to be no longer trusted as we lean more and more on religion and science to solve the greatest problems of the universe and about our existence and yet these two groups who believe they are the two extremes in belief don’t even realize that they both tell the same story from different views and that science explains religion but religion also influences science. They are two sides of the same coin and cannot be truly separate from each other because they fight over the same thing. The one thing that most people that have a specific religion do not realize is that the base of every religion is be good to others and tolerate each other. protestants killing Catholics because they view the same religion from different angles even though they both believe in similar ideals but hate each other because of something that happened several hundred years ago. everyone who dwells in the past is unable to look forward towards the beautiful things that may be coming their way because they wish to change the things that didn’t turn out the way they wanted it to even though what lies ahead is so great and/or so beautiful because of what happened in the past. Someone my friend knew met the woman that he spent the rest of what little life he had because he screwed up and didn't start college until late and so he met her while he was in college the first time and she was in for her masters. This shows that even the most unfortunate of circumstances can turn in your favor if you only accept what has already occurred and look forward towards what could be and what will be.
The best summary I can think of would be a quote from Donnie Darko "When the world ends, I will be able to breathe a sigh of relief because there will be so much to look forward to."
