Also people that are saying Gears 2 looks better than KZ2 or is even on it's level, need to have their memory refreshed. Here is comparison video of the two games, and you can see from the textures, character models, and especially the lighting, KZ2 is superior.

Anyone that knows about game development should realize that you should never use multiplatforms to compare which console gives the superior graphics.

You always use exculsives because those games are being specificaclly developed for the specific console. Multiplatforms are normally developed mainly on one console, and then ported to the other. Hence, one will always look better. That is why multiplatforms tend to look better (in most cases) on the 360, because developers use that as their base platform. Actually they use the PC as their base platform, but the 360 archietecture is so similar to the PC, that the 360 tends to look better.

However if there is a game being specifically developed (i.e Killzone 2), I think the PS3 is capable of delivering the better graphics, with it's superior hardware.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about picking up an Xbox arcade over the weekend because I feel like I'm missing out on some great exclusives I can't get on the PS3. Mostly I want to see what Fable, Gears, and how the Halo story ends. I'm not really concerned with online play too much, may be later on, I will get a starter kit to get the hard drive and the xbox live, but for now I just want to play the single player of the games xbox has to offer.

My question is, if I only really are about the single player, is the arcade a good choice for me? Also, I've heard that most arcade versions have the Jasper chipset is this true? If not, how can I tell which Xbox has the jasper chipset? Do any of the pro models have the jasper chipset?

Thanks for any replies, I really apreciate it.

To make a long story short, someone is willing to pay me exactly what I paid for my PS3 and games (i got my ps3 for 299, that $100 credit thing). I really wasn't satisfied with Killzone 2, I really thought it would be the premier shooter, but it isn't.

So I'm asking you guys, should I be worried about RRod? If there are any newer models that prevent the RRod which are they? Also, what are the must have games for the 360?

For my first three games I'm lookinig for them to have multiplayer, and I am definitely picking up Halo 3, I miss Halo 2 so much.

Is there anything else I should be concerned about?

8/10. The first one was horrible. I don't see them making a game based off of the original's story. But everyone will be all hyped up about the graphics so instead of getting a 7/10 it will probably get an 8/10. And BTW I'm not a 360 troll, I'm one of the biggest PS3 fanboys you will find. But this game is being hyped up for no reason.

Not only are there too many FPS but there isn't even one great one. Some of them are solid, some of them poor. I want a FPS on the PS3 that is great. Hopefully we will get that in Killzone.

[QUOTE="realistic44"]That one game changes a person interest about whether or not to sell the system, as great as ff13 is, even though im not much of a rpg fan, i would never sell a system, in terms of that one game, & who knows maybe sony has planned for something big on e3, you guys can do whatever you want but im still keeping the system, im loyal to sony lol ;), and i know great exclusive titles is going to be coming out in the future, so i rather take my chances :). TriangleHard

Unfortunately, FFXIII is not just a game.

It's a promise. Historically, the system that had Final Fantasy franchise was loaded with JRPGs as other company sees JRPG market exists through Final fantasy franchise.

Now that Xbox 360 secured more big name JRPGs with Star Ocean 4, Final Fantasy XIII was the only game that made me feel safe about PS3's future with JRPGs.

Now... it looks fairly clear that XBox 360 is safer bet with JRPGs. Making me think PS3 was the wrong choice.

Exactly, people don't reallise that the reason people bought a PS3 was becacuse traditionally it has been the system for RPGs. Now that FF13 is on the 360 too, in hindsight people think that it may have been better to buy the cheaper system and still get all the MS exclusives, such as Gears and Halo.

Nice, but most of the stuff he said was more or less known. I wish they had been a little more specific about the release date rather than jsut saing 2009. The game looks pretty solid though.

The graphics still look great on an SDTV (I have at my apartmen), but when I take my PS3 back to my parents house, it looks a lot better. The graphics just look sharper (the textures, and colors don't change), but the image just looks more crisp. You can also actually read the text without coming so close to your television screen. Everything is just magnified a lot more. I definitely think its worth it.
