Here are the pictures of our mountain climb (or hike) on April 4 and 5.
Going to the DENR station. There were some people already there.
Encountered several Pitcher Plants while going to the ranger station after the DENR station. First time I have seen this plant.
Road to the ranger station. Not for cars with small wheels.
At the ranger station.
First 30 minutes of the hike. It was a little cold and somewhat hard to breath at first.
Some kind of flower encountered on the way.
At the mossy forest. 2 hours to the second campsite. 1st campsite is a resting area though no pictures were taken at that place.
Cooking food. The winds so cold that it makes our hand hurt in several seconds.
Going to the peak at 3:30 am. My parents and sister didn't get a good sleep due to the cold and the extremely noisy campers. The area at the top is a grassland with some dwarf bamboos.
At the peak waiting for the sunrise. Too much fog to take pictures on the way up to the peak at this time.
Mountain Peak
There were some dwarf bamboos on the peak that had some clearings on them. Appears to be the place where people hide from the wind. Wind was to cold for someone to just stay outside without going for cover.
Sunrise pictures. There were several others but I chose the best ones.
Notice the shadow of the mountain in the middle just above our shadows.
Picture taken on the right when facing the sun(rise).
Picture taken a little bit to the left from the direction of the sun.
Sun in between the clouds. Resulted in the area getting colder again.
More pictures around the mountain.
Going back to the campsite. The area is a bit more visible now.
5 of us excluding my father who took the picture.
Picture of the area close to the campsite. Path were we went through is hard to spot here.
The campsite.
The lone tree at the campsite. No one sets their tent near it for some reason.
Another part of the campsite.
Flora
Pictures of the interesting plants we encountered on the way to the campsite. Most were taken by my father while going back to the ranger station though some are mine.
Looks like a kind of moss (green colored once) mixed in with some unknown plants (possibly another kind of moss).
Some kind of raspberry.
Unknown plant filled with thorns. My father got hit by one accidentally.
Another kind of mossy looking plant.
Unknown plant that looks frozen.
Plant that looks like (or is) a fern.
Orchid with some nice looking flowers.
Two more flowers from two different plants.
Some wild berries. Our guide likes to take some when she finds them outside the park.
Well, thats all of it. Enjoy the pictures.
Update: There are still more pictures and most weren't uploaded online. I'm gonna post them tomorrow.
