PC gaming is more popular I think. Between League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Starcraft - those 3 titles alone have more ppl playing at any single moment than console games. But Console gaming is more profitable for dev studios. PC gaming has a lot of piracy, most models are free-to-play so the majority are freeloaders while the small minority supports the rest (LoL is f2P, WoW has a lot of free private servers). so popularity doesnt really mean profitability. look at Mobile gamers. everyone owns a cellphone, and a lot have a game on it. but they're usually like 1 dollar or something lol

but I do think that 720 and ps4 will become way more successful than the current gen, considering wiiU is pretty much a nonfactor haha the sony fanboys in this thread are so misguided. they're still trapped in the past, you're still fighting an 8 year old console war lol wait until the next gen consoles come out, then u can nerdfight to your fanboy's content

Not sure, I think it MIGHT, but we have to wait for the specs to come out. This much I know, Halo wont be a selling factor even though it was a major dealbreaker with xbox and xbox360 release. 343 is going to ruin the landmark franchise, and ppl are already jumping ship. That's not to say playstation has better exclusives, the best games have always been multi-platform, but it just comes down to other factors. Plus H5 wont be coming on release, H5 supposed to come in 2015, and no ones going to rush to buy a$500 nextbox just to get an h2 anniversary edition. it DOES look like ps4 has an edge on them now, but theyre being quiet. who knows what Microsoft is up to...they have a hold on the PC gaming aspect as well, so I dont see why they dont use that to their advantage

good stuff, glad to hear its coming on the PC, you guys earned it by petition lol but i think you're discounting the console population too much. I'm pretty sure the PS3 community is still more active than the PC community, at least in terms of pvp. Also, even if it does get bigger on pc, the general trend of developers is to go from console->pc port lol and i dont think from software will change.

anyone excited for this game? I've been researching up on it, and heard good and bad. The developers made a great PC game, Rift, and they also made a legit tv series on SyFy in conjunction with the game. But I don't think there's an actual dedicated storyline, it seems like the real focus is on co-op experience, and multiplayer pvp is just an add-on. Just seems like Borderlands, with less story, larger coop, and a pvp afterthought.

What you want to look into is the Fable series, Witcher series. The main difference, and this is a huge difference, is that Elder Scrolls games are meant to be played in FPS. I really like rpgs in third person since the combat system is completely different in third person view. For that reason, elder scrolls just seems completely different experience for me. Dark souls is definitely one of my favorites. If you're really interested in rpgs, you should look into PC games, they have the best selection since there's tons of MMORPGs on pc, especially F2P. And you don't have to go straight to WoW or RIFT, there are plenty of recently made ones where you dont feel years behind everyone else lol

dark souls is for hardcore rpg fans, id recommend it if you've been playing rpgs since the days where you lost a constitution point when you died lol its one of my favorite games of all time, and you'll hear many people saying that, for good reason dragon`s dogma seems to be CAPCOM`s first serious forray into rpgs, and its a decent effort, very great visual boss fights, and very very open world ,to the extent its almost too big without a integral fast travel system. dragon age origins was good, dragon age II was not so good, so linear and they re-used the same landscape SO many times, every cave/dungeon is the same exact level except maybe one passage is open and another is not. it was rushed and so bad and I don't know if i'll continue buying their series kingdom of amaldur looks very similar to fable, but the company went bankrupt after its release, so dont buy it if you like to buy rpgs for their story and want a series to continue the ongoing story.
