Whats that over your cpu, some kind of freak heatsink?

Im currently running an Intel E7200 Dual Core @2.53 GHz---4gb DDR2--- GTS250 1gb

If I upgraded I would need to replace the motherboard ram and cpu

I'm looking at the i5 651 quad core which is about $200

Total it would be 500-600 dollars because Im replacing the case and PSU

And I already have 2 GTS250 1gb that I plan to sli. My current Motherboard only has one PCI Express

Is it worth upgrading yet or should I wait for more affordable i7s

So do I just hook up my hard drive and re install windows and re download the Windows 7 upgrade...or do I have to deactivate it somehow so that Im able to use it with new hardware

My computer is reaching its end and I'm looking into buying pretty much everything new

Since I already have an OS and hard drives do I just throw them in with the new hardware and go from there or format everything and re install from scratch without having to buy a new licence for windows.

Also I originally have a Vista cd and did an upgrade to windows 7 via download so how am I supposed to do that.

I have decided to join the Dark side, and in a few days I will have a PS3 at my door step, but I will also be broke.

What I wanted to do is grab a title or two from the bargain bin, perferably PS3 exclusives since I used to have 360.

Where do I start?

I have a NC6220 HP laptop and I need a hard drive for it.

But, its a bit confusing there is ata, ata-6, pata, ide and Im not completly sure which one would work.

Apparently they're basically the same but pictures like this confuse me because of the four little extra pins on the side...my connection is pic 2
