it all depends on what you like. i own both GRID (previously owned DiRT too) and Midnight Club: LA, and love them BOTH. i like MC for the customizations and free roam. but if you're lookin for PURE racing game, GRID is DEFINITELY the way to go. i still play it today and I've had it since release. its definitely for the car enthusiast. in my opinion, its better than Gran Turismo (atleast compared to the demo). if you ever played TOCA Race Driver 3 for the PS2, then GRID is certainly the game you want. its a perfect 10 in my book

i play every couple days, and more on weekends. i prefer sniping.. got red tiger stripe on 3 of 5 rifles. workin on the M21 and R700 as we speak
GTA IV, Midnight Club: LA, BIONIC freakin COMMANDO! (original was the shnit, i can only hope this lives up to the hype! always wanted a sequel to this game), FALLOUT 3 or RESISTENCE 2
i like FPS mostly, its ironic that all 5 games i own are FPS (i like racing too, but honestly, there's NOTHIN out there thats worth my $60.. so i'm waitin for Midnight Club)
i just ask they throw in a couple new maps, some guns and/or challenges, and a few more perks. and i like all the maps EXCEPT Bloc (dont mind playin it, just the only one thats uneventful). Crossfire, Vacant, and Bog are probably my top 3 favs.

yeah i wont get my hopes up about CoD 5 but i still dont see why so many people hated on CoD 3, i thought it was a good game for Treyarch, eventhough i never got to play in online. CoD 4 definitely has outdone any FPS to date, so Treyarch being able to top it: highly doubtful. but as far as Treyarch puttin out a good WW2 shooter, very likely. i do think it's stupid to put it back in WW2, but i think Treyarch has WW2 covered, which explains WHY they're goin back to WW2, bc Infinity Ward has taken the Modern Warfare aspect of the franchise and completely killed the competition on that level. MOH has been at WW2 forever, but they need a competitor, i.e. Treyarch. and i must say CoD 3 is the best WW2 game i've played, next to MOH: Frontlines. i think if Treyarch takes some notes from Infinity Ward on CoD 4 and enters in some new stuff in CoD 5, i think we'll be in for a surprise. granted it may not be on par w/ CoD 4, but lets face it, it'll be the best WW2 game out there, and i do still like WW2 shooters, which the only good one happens to be CoD 3(imagine that!) but in the meantime, i'll stick w/ CoD4 until something worthwhile comes along and catches my attention.
