MMO:My views

Well not really.... last time i wrote about game violence now its time to look at the silent killer.MMO's

Some of us have played MMORPG's such as everquest WoW Anarchy etc..I used to play WoW and it was great for the first 1-2 years then it got boring till BC which got dull after 3 months yet i still played. While most of us like to say "we're not addicted" we are and MMO creators know how easy it is to get hooked.

They create a competitive envioroment.Unlike other games like CS,C&C where you actually have to have skill to play. All MMO's require is time....and since us humans are very competitive we spend time killing mutated wolves in some jungle so we can get a special item and become more powerful...while your doing this it seems fine but when you quit you realise how much time you wasted. And in order to keep you playing they use random drop so you could kill mutated wolves for 3 days and not get the item some guy could throw a fireball at one and get the item you wanted...which in turn makes you want to keep killing wolves.

Some of us have been addicted to MMO's and even if you havent im sure you know someone who has and know the consequences. When i first started didint have much of a effect on me...But ones i got into the whole equipment thing id spend most of my time in my room killing oversized birds.i wouldnt go out id eat in my room and once i quit i relised i had wasted 4 years of my life doing nothing.

But there are some innovative ones coming out like Huxley,Aion,AoC all of these are better then WoW but since WoW is more popular everyone(even people who dont know what it is) would say WOTLK is better.Obviously AoC Aion or Huxley arent gonna end the long reign of WoW but sooner or later it will die but by then Blizz would have put out a new MMORPG with will be the same sack of crap.

Im not saying dont play MMORPG's just dont get to involved after all its just a game...
