Generic update

'Ello guys. What's going on? Hope everything's hunky-dory for you peeps.

I'm doing alright I 'spose. I'm actually pretty excited at the moment.

This and that. A tight bore, extended length barrel for my airsoft rifle, and a silencer to add some external flair and to house the chunk of the barrel that would otherwise stick out of my gun. According to sources, this will boost the accuracy of my rifle beyond my wildest dreams (and they get pretty wild) and also moderately increases the speed at which BBs will travel, which also boosts accuracy as they arrive at the target faster and stay in the air for less time, giving wind and outside forces less chance to alter the BB's path. I'm super stoked about buying these upgrades FINALLY, as I've wanted them for quite some time, and they're only gunna run me approx. 65 dollars, not including s/h charges. That's a lot cheaper than I anticipated :D

As for the MK23 pistol, it's still on my list, and will be the next thing I buy, but the upgrades come first. On that note, I have a hefty sum of cash from Xmas and birthday, plus a little work of my own, but it's looking like most of it's going into my Guatemala fund to pay it off in full. I shouldn't complain--out of 1300 bucks I raised 1030 just from donations, so throwing in the remaining 270 is pretty slim relatively. Still though, I could have gotten my upgrades and pistol with plenty to spare :( We'll see what happens though, mom said that hopefully it won't come to me putting ALL of it into the fund, but it might.

As far as school goes, it's fine. I just had 2 days off for snow plus a 2 hour delay, and according to weather it's supposed to be an EXACT repeat this week. That'd be SWEET. ;) Report cards just came. I was VERY pleased. I don't remember specifics, but I'll tell ya'll later.

Other than that, we're reading The Inferno in english. Have any of you read it?

Meleeman has a lot of books on his plate. Still chugging through Rainbow Six, though I'll be done soon. After that it's the SEAL training book I mentioned, then Ender's Game, then Cole Protocol, and now a book about Marines my friend's lending me that inspired the HBO special recently aired. The name escapes me, but apparently it rules.

Gaming's slow as of late. I picked up Tomb Raider Anniversary, of all things, to attempt to finish that before the hail of games comes crashing down on me in about a month.

On TV, Burn Notice, Psych, and Monk all came back :D And 24...ohhhh se amo mucho...

Hm. That would seem to be it. OH. OHHH. I can't believe I almost forgot!!

My birthday was awesome. I mean awesome. I can't remember the last time we had that much fun. Ben, his dad, my dad, and Steve had some pizza, donuts, and cinnamon buns for dinner (very unusual and surprising...I dig it) before going to shoot 8) We had:

Ben's .22. Scoped, bolt action, clip fed.

Steve's .22. Iron sights, bolt action, breech loaded.

Ben's M1 Carbine.

My dad's SIG Sauer P228.

And...well...an utter dream.

As you may (but probably do not) know, I am a huge HK buff. They make such guns as the MP5, G3, G36, UMP, MK23, USP, MP7, HK416, and PSG1, just to name a few. Well when you take pistols into account, my two faves of theirs are the MK23 and USP. The MK23 is super rare, even in the civilian version, and the USP comes in about 8 variants that shoot 3 calibers. The .45 is out of the question as is the .40, as my dad doesn't want to buy ammo just to shoot those kinds of guns on the range and not be able to use it in his 9mm SIG if he needed to, so my only shred of hope was that the range maybe, just MAYBE, had a 9mm USP to rent there. It was a shred, mind you, and I expected them not to have one but knew dad would let me rent one if they did.

It was my birthday, after all.

So we get there and I go to the counter and ask if they had any HK pistols. "Yeah, a USP," he says. My jaw DROPPED. "Are you serious?!" says I. "What caliber?" "9."

I think the ecstasy in that moment drowned out the universe, I fainted, woke up a short while later, and was not fully back to my senses until standing upright where I had been before fainting :P Or maybe I didn't faint. Either way, I shot this freaking gun.

It was beautiful. Just beautiful. I'm also proud to say becuz of my obsession with the USP and his older brother the MK23, I basically knew the gun by the back of my hand even though I'd never held one before :P He shot pretty nice, too. Only costs 889 bucks if you buy one from the range, too. I would be lying if I told you I'm not considering it...

Anyways, I could babble on for ages about the shooting trip, just know that it was AWESOME. That's all for me, I gotta go workout.

Until next time, I've been an irmeleeman5995 who is no longer a stranger to HK pistols, and that's a mouthful to say! And...doesn't really mean anything
