What about every action movie ever made? Don't they encourage violence too? And they also have much wider audience than video games. But I guess Hollywood is too big for them to take on. The fact is they need a scapegoat. If they support banning guns, they'd be disgraced by american public where everybody has guns. And they can't afford to blame media who makes celebrities out of spree killers. But If they blame videogames instead they lose almost nothing. Because videogames are widespread mostly within teenagers and guess what, teenagers can't vote! Problem solved.
