For over half a year I've been playing Gundam Extreme Vs on and off. Got to say it's one of my favorite games that I've played this gen.

The game is available in Japan, Hong Kong, and Korea. Luckily the ps3 has no region lock so I was able to import it. For people who are unfamiliar with this game it's very similar to Sega's 3D mecha fighting game Virtual On, except this game revolves around mobile suits from various Gundam universe along with being more faster pace game. The game's combat is well made that it can stand out even without having the Gundam label. There are total of 64 playable mechs including the dlcs.

It's a team base game consisting of 2vs2. Along with a player having their own individual hit points they also have a team life bar that they share with partner. Both teams have a total of 6K team life bar.

Depending on what mobile suit you select the cost will vary from 1K, 2K, 2.5K, and lastly 3K. Usually higher the cost the suit tend to have better perfomance and increase hit points. Back to the team life bar. Depending on what the cost of the suit it will be subtracted from the team life bar once the individual or the partner's health reaches zero. It will keep subtracting everytime they die and which ever team's life bar reaches zero loses.

It's a fun game. Unlikely this game will probably won't come out outside of Asia. Right now Gundam Extreme Vs Full Boost is out in arcades in Japan. Full Boost is somewhat like how Marvel vs Capcom 3 is to Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. Namco hasn't confirmed it, but it is likely to be ported to the ps3 in Asia once again sometime in the future. It such a shame this is one of the games people in west are missing out. Imagine how many other games are out there that we will never get to experience.
