Anyone old enough to still care about FF doesn't want a button mashing 40 hour movie with fetch quests, nevermind all the political pandering. Yet they keep making that same game over and over. I'd say start making actual games again, but it'll never happen. They'll either double down on mobile and NFT or go out of business.

An 8.2 was considered a good score in 2002. Back then 5.0 meant a mediocre game, not 7.0 as it does today. Considering how poorly this game has aged, it's more than fair.

Sounds like I won't be missing much by skipping this one. A big appeal of any horror game should be the story, and I've yet to see anything remotely interesting about RE7's.

From the time I spent with the PSP version I can safely say this is not a game to look forward to if you grew up with the series. BUT, if you like mindless hack and slash or harem-style anime this is the perfect game for you.

Wow, I already forgot this game existed. Ubisoft was very clever to avoid sending reviewers early copies. I'm sure a bunch of poor saps already bought it

You give a 9/10 to an online-focused game with a completely broken online? This is why people should never just look at scores.

This is the first time I'm kind of jealous of bone owners. Let's hope this gets a PC release at least!

@Talavaj Well they also screwed up the backgrounds with some crappy filters. Ironically the HD port has less detail than the original thanks to all the crushed blacks.
