Wow...

I dunno why I'm on here again, but it brings a tear to my eye. I remember some fun days spending time on this site conversing with some cool people. I'm an adult now, & I don't remember most of the stuff I posted way back when or who I talked to on hear, but I feel as though I'd dust off this profile with this post. Until next time....

MY Votes for Best Music Videos of all time!

Hello Everybody. Here are my picks for the best music videos of all time:

10. Peter Gabriel- Sledgehammer-1988

Can't say musch about the artist, but great montage of color and psychedelia.

9. Radiohead- Karma Police- 1997

Simple idea, great music video. That's all there is too it!

8. R.E.M.- Losing My Religion- 1991

The Smells Like Teen Spirit....before Smells Like Teen Spirit. THE definitive moment in music was started by R.E.M. with this odd video and song.

7. Devo- Whip It- 1980

Who doesn't know the Whip It video, the red hats, etc?

6. Dire Straits- Money For Nothing- 1985

These graphics SUCK!!!..... Oh wait, it was the 80's. Despite its blocky look, it is still considered a groundbreaking video.

5. Alce and Chains- Man in the Box- 1991

A disturbing, haunting, and somewhat groundbreaking video... that has no meaning in the song whatsoever.

4. Beastie Boys- Sabotage- 1994

A hillarious video making fun of 70's tv.

3. Foo Fighters- The Pretender- 2007

Huh? Hundreds of riot officers getting trampled by Kool-Aid? Cool Video no doubt.

2. Weezer- Buddy Holly- 1994

What happens when you mix Happy Days, Weezer, and video guru Spike Jones? One of the best known videos of the 90's that's what!

1. Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit- 1991

In my opinion, this video is the best one EVER MADE!!! Screw Michael Jackson's Thriller or Beat It! The shure significance of this video is another reason why it is my #1 pick.

Videos that just missed the cut:

Beck- Loser- 1994

The Breeders- Cannonball- 1994

Billy Idol- White Wedding(pt.1)- 1982

Fatboy Slim- Praise You- 1999

Dinosaur Jr.- Feel The Pain- 1994

The Offspring- Come Out And Play (keep em' seperated)- 1994

Foo Fighters- Everlong- 1997

John Lennon- Imagine- 1972

Oasis- Live Forever- 1994

Elvis Costello and the Attractions- (What's so funny bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding- 1979

Why, if it isn't me! (plus my picks for best albums of 08)

Yes, I'm still alive... I think.

To start things off, I'm proud to say that BARACK OBAMA HAS WON!!!!!! (although you pobably know that already) Although I was going for STEPHEN COLBERT, OBAMA is just as good.

Now the reason I've been gone was because I've been filming movies, playing music, and focusing on schoolwork. not that you care anyway.

Now... for the REAL IMPORTANT STUFF!! HERE ARE MY PICKS FOR THE BEST ALBUMS OF 2008

5. AC/DC- Black Ice

File:Black ice red.jpg

I'm not really a fan of AC/DC (I never have been). However, when I listened to Black Ice, I thought otherwise! Great hard-rocking songs through the whole album. Rock-n-roll train is the best song.

4. Weezer- Weezer (The Red Album)

File:Weezerred2.jpg

Although not as good as their other albums, it was better than most of the stuff on the radio! Contains hard-rocking songs with quiet love songs. Best songs are Greatest man that ever lived and Pork and beans.

3. Oasis- Dig Out Your Soul

File:Dig out your soul.jpg

Finally, they are back to their hard-rocking roots! Best songs are Shock of Lightning, I'm Outta Time, and Bag it Up

2. The Offspring- Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace

File:The Offspring - Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace.jpg

The title sounds sorta like the Foo Fighter's Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace!? Like Oasis, The Offspring went back to the roots that made them famous. Best songs are Kristy, are you doing okay? You're gonna go far, kid, and Rise and Fall.

1. R.E.M.- ACCELERATE

File:R.E.M. - Accelerate.jpg

Accelerate they did!!! R.E.M.'s Accelerate shows us that R.E.M. may be in their fifties, but they can still rock harder than most! However, Until the day is done is a beautiful song with a memorable beat. As for Supernatural superserious, it sounds like What's the frequency, Kenneth? and Its the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine) put together in one loud and catchy tune. That is why its my vote for best album of 2008.

GOOD NIGHT EVERYBODY!
