What happened to PC gaming? I'm beginning to lose faith in it with crappy games like Dawn of War II, Assassin's Creed II, command and Conquer 4, and more coming out and making PC gaming look bad. Plus, too little ports. But, at least the PC still has emulators. ;D

My computer is fixed, but not to my satisfaction. When it was recovered, the computer was slower than networks using comcast. Even FFIV, made nearly 20 years ago, can barely run at 40 FPS. Thus, I won't be back until this little issue is resolved.

My Problem has been narrowed down to the motherboard.

But that isn't what I'm posting for. I'm posting to say Hooray! I recovered all my Emulator savestates from the Hard drive! It took some screwing around, but I did it! Now I can play FF3 and FF5 on my laptop! Yay! I also recovered my PCSX2 and EPSXE savestates on my laptop, so I won't need to lose everything. The only thing I've truly lost is the games I downloaded. I jave to redownload it, which kind of sucks. I can't fit all that on one USB Drive. Re downloading will take some time, but recovering the savestates was well worth it!

I'm sorry to say that this is goodbye. Forever. Not only will I VERY rarely log on to GS, but I may never come back after this message. My main computer refused to boot after a recent windows update, and nothing seems to work. I lost months worth of progress with the loss of my PC, and I essentially lost access to the outside world. At the moment, i'm logged onto my extremely useless laptop, because it's all I've got. I can't live on gaming anymore with this laptop, and until the day my computer recovers from death itself, I won't see GS ever again.

Yes, this is the moment to cue the "Unforgettable Silhouette" music from Final Fantasy IX. I loved that computer, and its loss sort of sucked for me. My computer will never talk, laugh, cry or get angry ever again... my hands are tingling... my eyes are burning!... you get the point.

It died after a Windows Update late last night, at APPR 3 am, when I just happened to be trying out Kingdom Hearts 2 to see if it was anything better than that first wreck of a game. I never got into it far enough to know, but now, it doesn't even matter. I'll never enjoy life again until it recovers, because I sort of treat my game save files like my precious children... Bye forever.

Sorry to say I'll be less active as of late. I recently got hooked up with the Final Fantasy wiki. It's a rather addicting place, so I won't show up here as often. what really kicked me over to suggesting this is because i see all these unions i've joined begging for activity all over the union, when the leaders fail to realise that many people could easily forget about it in minutes! but then i noticed that i'm always able to remember to visit threads on forums like "mycrysis.com" because they have an option that emails me when i get a reply! good idea!

if gamespot had this, not only would union activity be so much better, but i would actually know to check if someone messages me or replies to a forum comment. now i have 20 inbox messages i'm too lazy to read!

i've noticed that square enix seems to be making games for other genres than RPGs *has final fantasy fangasm*

they seem to be moving up to RTSs... which i see as a dying genre. they are making a few games including supreme commander 2 (i really liked that series though :3) and a new game called "order of war" if i recall.

could this cause them to give up on their star franchise final fantasy? because i would be crying for the rest of my life if that were to happen..... but who knows, maybe their move-up to the next genre might prove a success... perhaps they are trying to revive the RTS genre? games like red alert 3 and halo wars do NOT give you a proper experience. but supreme commander really did... except for tech issues and confusing story... but luckily, nobody in the world is better at stories than square! so, lets wait and see if this little change might be good, bad, or nothing at all!

wow, i can't believe the things i've seen people do these past several months...

first off, i've seen a variety of people that think halo is a game for kids, and is actually good! it's not a good game at all! it's an easy, overrated piece of **** that offers extremely early boredom rates! how can anyone like this crap?!?!

don't even get me started on the PSP! people think EVERYBODY has custom firmware or a hackable PSP, when a good amount of people don't have the luxury of that stuff!

and final fantasy... FF7 is overrated, and the better FFs in the series are highly underrated. i loved almost all the FFs after FF7 bunches more! every final fantasy i've played other than FF7, was better than FF7! (in terms of story, gameplay, and common sense in everything.)

and then there's people that think the wii or anything with the letter i in front/end of it is something good.

ex: the mac better than PC?!?! HAHAHHAHHHAHA xD good joke!

the wii a good console? LOL its only good for multiplayer, and even then, it gets old pretty F3$%'n quickly. i'd rather go for a PS3... with great singleplayer gameplay for us antisocial people >_> or not the highly overrated XBOX360 with only 1 1 terrible series that even seems to exist on the console. anyway, all the 360 is good for is making a terrible multi-platform port and getting 8-year old fanboys. the PS3/PS2/PSX is better for people who like games like final fantasy that actually take an ounce or two of though instead of decieving you that the game is actually hard and you're good at it... jesus christ! halo SUCKS. and no matter who you are, you are NOT good at it. someone can get as good as you are in a couple hours!

and about kids... we never tell them the truth beforehand... mostly the important ones like: Disney is a corporate leech that steals ancient classics and calls it their work, NOT a kid friendly company. and most of all, we don't tell kids that they have no future! seriously. let them know before it's too late >_>. and then there's sexual content.... why is it so bad to know these things? seriously... it won't turn you into a serial rapist from you knowing how to become part of the cycle of life...
