[QUOTE="itsGodHimSelf"][QUOTE="Skittles_McGee"] You mean if Halo and CoD remain the "best" shooters, we'll have more games of similar quality? Oh, woe are we! We'll have good FPS's to play  Whatever shall we do?jg4xchamp
Good in what way? Campaign? Sure. While short, both campaigns were great. Halo 3 had the best in the series and COD4 was challenging. Multiplayer? Not so much. COD4 does a poor job of trying to imitate Halo 2 while having an extremely noob friendly multiplayer. Halo 3 also made it noob friendly with a hitbox the size of the Sun. (http://gameroom.mlgpro.com/view/3Vez2iWKMWw.html , its a Halo CE montage so if you can't look at poor graphics don't bother, however, if you can, watch for a few minutes where he shows how they dumbed down Halo 3)
I guess me and the other guy who quoted me are the few who actually want an FPS that's good and not casualized. Funny, because you guys cry about how people casualize your favorite genre.
wow i disagree with alot here....if anything Halo 1 was the easiest of the 3 to be good at in terms of MP because of the over powered pistol....and all in all it completely lacked any of the balance that is Halo 3 The maps are all well designed, no one weapon is too over powered(Sword in Halo 2, Pistol in Halo 1), no vehicle is unstoppable....if anything Halo 3 was a great improvement/refinement of the Halo MP formula Halo 2 and COD 4 can't even be compared ....game sty-les are completely different. If anything both games were better MP games than SP games. and from an MP standpoint Halo 3 owns just about any console MP game IMO.....and COD 4 is the best COD mp not named COD 1 and its expansion.Whether you want to argue that the pistol was overpowered, it doesn't matter. You started off with a pistol, it's not like it was a power weapon. You were either better than your opponent or you weren't.
The sword, yes it was overpowered so I'll give you that. The length you could lunge was ridiculous. Someone made a montage and they lunged from sniper tower to BR tower (the one directly across) on Lockout. Whoever had sword basically won, there was really no skill involved in Halo 2.
