Im not a fanboy by any stretch of the imagination. Thru the years I have owned every system thats ever been out going back to the original NES. I actually buy my games according to the GS reviews. I've always known them to be a trusted source. But as of late, i've been extremely dissapointed by their reviews. It seems like this Kevin VanOrd guy is causing most of the problem. He'll rate MP3 an 8.5 because its similar to the previous games, instead of rating it based on its own merit. Then gamespot goes ahead and rates Super Metroid (SNES) with the very same score! There is no way they deserve to be rated on the same scale. Dont get me wrong, super metroid is one of the greatest games of all time, but there is no way its on the same level with MP3 when it comes to level design, graphics, gameplay etc etc. Long story short, the system is flawed. IGN's review of MP3 was more accurate cause it rated the game on the game itself, not based on the previous MP games.
They've never given this kevin vanord guy any good games to review. He gets ONE chance and he TOTALLY BLOWS IT! I've lost all hope with gamespots reviews. I bought the game anyway, cant wait for it to ship!
I liked it but got up to like level 6 on the blacklist then got bored of it.stuartcee
I agree COMPLETELY. The game LOOKS great, but there isnt much to it. If i had played this game b4 burnout, it would be a different story. This game didnt hold my attention for too long.
