I guess my only issue now is how do I get my original 120GB hard drive to work in a newer 360? It looks like I'll have to open up the enclosure and then swap it into an empty one that's compatible with the newer 360s.
I want to get my 360 repaired since I finally have a job again and GTA V comes out next month. I'm curious where the best place is to send it though. I have an 08 model that was one of the ones with HDMI but no 65nm hardware, so it's basically the hottest running one and also obviously out of the RRoD warranty(it died probably just a month outside of coverage too of course) Many people will probably say to go to Microsoft themselves since they obviously know what they're doing and the fix is warrantied for 90 days but I'm not sure if they do anything else to prevent the 360 from RRoD'ing again like beefing up the heatsink or using leaded solder instead of unleaded and I would obviously like for it not to happen again without having to buy a whole nother 360
