I have exactly the same problem. I'm still waiting for the fine folks at Mozilla to fix that Firefox (very old) bug.

so, I usually use wget for everything, through Flashgot extension plus a little script I did so everything works together: Firefox+FlashGot+wget

Unfortunatly, GameSpot.com has become more and more wget-unfriendly over time :(

Recently, it stopped working. Now, even all the things I had to add to work in the past aren't enough.

he --load-cookies=, the --referer= and now I even tried the --user-agent= to look like Firefox... nothing works now :(

So... I guess I'll stop watching On The Spot and Indievelopment series, because I simply can't download 100% of the files, and have no way to resume the broken ones.

 Any ideas or free slim/light solutions ?
