Personally, i was a Nintendo fan before i considered myself a gamer and before i even knew there were different companies. i loved anything pokemon, i played Mario 64, Starfox 64, and all of the Smash bros. games.

But starting about a year after the Wii was released, i realized that Nintendo was going all thr wrong places. The Wii motion system was a great innovator and spurred alot of new technology, but it has turned into mostly a gimmick.

The games for it are not up to par with modern day games, and the controls are downright annoying. most of the success Nintendo has had is mostly reboots of past franchises.

They are constantly attempting to bring out new hardware but always fall short because the games are not very good quality, and the consoles are very gimmicky. I feel bad for nintendo, seeing as how they raised me up to the gamer i am today, but to be honest, i almost completely disregard them in comparison to Sony and Microsoft.

What is the Wii U really? its not a next-gen console. its Nintendo's attempt to catch up to the current market. and i dont think it will do very well.
