Hi guys, need some help again please.. Recently we had a power cut and obvioulsy my computer switched off, when I boot up the monitor shows the usual screens, and then after the loading windows screen, the monitor just switches off to standby and says "no input", however I can still hear windows loading in the background and when I switch the computer off I can hear windows logging off, so windows is working but it sounds like the monitor isn't being recognised.

So now I'm using the normal computer socket using the inbuilt GPU, any ideas on how I can sort this or would it be worth getting rid of all the present graphics drivers so the computer thinks I'm installing the GPU as if from new?

By the way, what is the best way to remove GPU drivers?
Many, many thanks, Jamflanuk

I am indeed at uni and so very cheap haha.

Average cost range is pretty vaired there are a lot cheaper than the ones I've looked at, equally the gaming ones are pretty steep.

How much performance difference is there between the T7100 and the TL-60?

Cheers again, Jamflanuk

Hi, can you ask about laptops in here? :P I'm looking to buy a laptop that could play some basic games like HL2, FEAR and some RTS. Unfortuntely my budget is low and I can't spend over £500.
So far these three laptops have grabbed my attention.

That one because of the 8400M.

And that one because of the CPU.

This one seems very similar to the HP but is a bit more expensive, any ideas why?

Is there a massive, massive difference in the CPUs? Especially the T7100 compared with the other two.

Which laptop would you guys recommend?
Many thanks, Jamflan

what sort of FPS should I be getting for half life episode 2? I'm only getting around 10-30 with everything on high, is that to be expected with my GPU?

Specs are:

AMD 4200X2

7600GT

2Gb RAM

Win XP

Cheers...

I had a look and I'm pretty sure I can't connect the ports and the soundcard, does anyone know if theres something you can attach to a soundcard which will extend the headphone/mic sockets to the front of the PC?

Cheers again...

Sorry for not being clear. What I mean is after I installed the sound card i'm unable to use the red and green ports on the front of my tower:
