Okay, so I found out recently that my school is getting a crew team next year.
I've never done crew, and I'm not exactly athletic, but my mom says I have the right "shoulders" for crew and I should try it.
I've never done a school sport before. Plus, I don't know if it's gonna be a begginner team or a real hardcore team... I would just annoy people if it wasa hardcore team.
Plus, next year, we get to exempt midterms and finals in all the classes we have an A in. If I join a sports team, I would probably have a lot less time to do homework/study, and my grades wouldn't be as good. In senior year, the year that actually matters.
Also, I don't exactly have friends (lol), so I don't know how the rest of the team (whoever they are) would accept me. It might be awkward for a while.
On the other hand, this might be an opportunity for me to finally make friends. It would also give me the chance to get into shape. Also, it would finally give me something other than "chorus" to list on my extracurricular activites list when I apply to college. And what if I love rowing??? That would be good too.
There's also one more reason to join, but I think it's pretty shallow...
My crush does crew at the boy's school. Meaning I would probably see him again. He could either think I'm cool for rowing, or see me screwing itup and think I'm dumb. lol.
So, any opinions?
