lol just because something is older (xbox) does not mean it can't have superior graphics. The RSX in the PS3 is basicly a slightly overclocked Nvidia 7900 gt while the 360's xenos has similar architecture to current pc graphics cards (unified shaders etc.) That could be one of the possible reasons for the 360 having slightly superior graphics in most multiplatform games, other than just development issues.
It would have been nice to see if Gamespot added in the latest driver for the 3870X2, the newest driver is ATI: 8-451-2-080123a not 8-451-2-080108a which they use. If you want to see a real comparison of the video cards go to http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3209&p=2 that use the latest drivers for both platforms, not just nvidia. You will see on this site it explains how much of an impact this driver for ATI has and was the main reason for the one week delay for the 3870X2. Come on Gamespot get it together! Surprisingly in this review the X2 has a significant lead in performance in Call of Duty 4 and Crysis.
murrayftw, i do not understand your logic, when two 2600 XT's in crossfire perform about the same as an 8800GTX for about half the price. Id say thats just a better deal, or is it just me.
To gamespot, the X1950XTX is a 80 nm card not 90, which explains the better overclocking than the X1900XTX. they can also make the card for cheaper because they didnt feal the need to raise their yields to qualify past 650 mhz.
