What would it take? (besides a whole lot of cash)
In my company we like to look at change as 'what' instead of 'how'.
I wonder if game developers do the same. I would love to see a game that combines all genres into one.
Example: In AC II, rather than fighting in third person, you would bounce into a Tekken style fight mode where you would be one-on-one or one-on-multiple fight mode that would be more about your skills versus luck (I know that mastering some of the moves in Third person does some of this but it is not the same).
Do you think developers approach a game in the same format? With what technology can do today, it seems as though the sky is the limit. Holding a game within the constraints of a 'disk' seems like it should be gone with the connection systems now have to the web but it's probably more complicated that I realize.
your thoughts?
Sorry to bring up such a depressing topic bit it's an off-shoot of the (yes rather controversian) review of AO2.
It feels to me as though as we are litterly witnessing the beginning of the end of the American empire. It's very scary to me as I have couple kids that I want to experiance a 'normal' happy life. It's really a wierd sensaion as our goverment and army are pretty strong and we, as a socitey, make pretty good money. However, a lot conernrs me... gas prices are soon to approach $4.00 which will screw legit business out there in ways we cannot even forsee, we're at nearly an all time 'high' fore-closure rate when it comes to mortgages, some of the business you and I grew up with "believing in" are pretty much screwed such ad GMC and Ford... And yet, we're borrowing money from China to support the American way of life, i.e. buying on credit.
Again, I'm sorry to bring such a crappy topic up on these forums but I have been overwheliming supprised by the intelect that is displayed on these forums. My only hope in our future is US and I am just interested in you thoughts. Where do we go from here?
If you're talking about the easiest to get...
1. Almost any sports game such as NBA2k(insert year) or NCAA B-ball. You can adjust your competition's strenght and get the points very quickly.
2. By far the quickest game I have gotten 1000 on is Avitar (yes I have kids so don't make fun). You literally can get 1000 in about 5 minutes - in the first few moments of the opening level.
Dude... DUDE... I cannot friggin beat mission 20 on Devil Hunter mode. It's driving me friggin nuts. Any tips? I cannot get the boss more than half-way dead.
Questions...
Is the release date holding or is it going to be pushed back? Is this game going to be ok, good, great, awesome, or suck?
Meh... I don't know enough about gaming to know which came first. Looks like it doesn't really matter anyway since the same friggin game was released with a different face.
Speaking of facts. It probably would have made sense to title my post with DMC4=MG instead of DMG4=NG. I'm a idiot. My stupid performance apprasial at work was righ... "you need to focus on attention to detail." F the man.
