Thanks for the help. i'll check out the triangle button and try to adjust the screen size on the tv. The tv i have is a 1080p Samsung 950 LCD. And the player is my PS3. I have a regular dvd player on another tv so I can always watch the few full screen series i have on that but it doesn't upcovert so obviously i prefer the PS3.

I recently purchased a PS3 and was watching the first season of The Wire on DVD. The DVD is presented in fullscreen so I had the black bars on both sides of the show when I watched it. Is there any way to change the display so that when I watch full screen dvds on my PS3 it stretches to fill the screen? I could not find a button on the PS3 remote. Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know for sure whether or not the new MSG4 80GB Bundle is backward compatible for PS2 games? I saw on Buy.com that is was not. I have a bundle pre-ordered but would really like the system to be able to play some PS2 games I never got around to playing. Thanks for the help.

This post probably doesnt' belong here but I was hoping for some help. My brother just moved home from college and brought his PS3 with him. Now there are 2 in my house. Right now only one of us can be online at a time so I bought a network switch from best buy this morning. Before I open the box I was curious whether this would allow us both to be online at the same time. I would have an ether net cable going from the cable modem to the switch and then 2 ethernet cables going to both PS3s. Would this allow us to be online at the same time? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. You've all been a help. I was leaning toward the PS3 and now I definately think it's the top choice. Now I'll just wait until the MSG4 Bundle is released!

Good evening. I was hoping someone could help me out with a decision. I'm interested in moving up to Blu-Ray but wasn't sure whether a PS3 or a stand alone Blu-Ray player would be the better choice. I'm a casual gamer and althrough games like MSG4 definately appeal to me I don't have to have them. In fact, due to my work schedule, I have little time for games. I thought I read somewhere that the PS3 would have future upgrades to the blu-ray which would prevent having to buy new hardware every time some new tech comes out. Any truth to this? Right now I'm leaning towards the PS3 due to this fact. Any helpful comments would be appreciated. Thanks!!

If you are into triva definately give Scene It: Lights Camera Action a try. It's awesome. My wife rarely plays games but she'll be the first to suggest firing Scene It up.

Just wanted to let everyone that is looking for the Daxter bundle to check out Target. I called 3 local Target stores today and they all had gotten in shipments of 5-10 Daxter bundles. I picked one up on my way home from work. Just figured I'd let you all know b/c they are getting tough to find. And to think I almost settled for the Star Wars one.
