@zizo490 For some years they've kept on removing depth from the features I like, and in '14 they entirely removed tournament mode (which I'd been enjoying for 20 years). Clearly they want to push everyone towards spending extra cash on FUT, but the backlash was enough that they added it back in.
@robchiang1990 Where did you read that RAD wanted The Order to be multiplat? Because they've been working with Sony on that game since its conception in 2010.
In my eyes, the mid-tier is where you find games like Divinity: Original Sin and Bound By Flame - those sorts. It's reasonably common on PC, but so much on consoles. The move towards digital distribution and variable price points will bring it back. The Order is a well supported, big budget release, designed to be a console showcase; definitely 100% AAA.
@EmperorSupreme Not personally a Borderland's fan (love the aesthetic though), but I have plenty of friends who played a lot of it, and it generally seemed for them that whilst the story was mostly dressing to pull you though the game; the writing, humour, and the characters were massive draws.
Destiny doesn't have interesting story, or characters, or writing, and isn't funny.
@redtrevize Though I'm not convinced Ready at Dawn have the time or desire to fix the gameplay, I hope they do, because other aspects of the story and world look cool, but I couldn't be arsed if it is a chore to playthrough. So I'm little hope, zero expectation on The Order right now. If nothing else, hopefully you learned a lesson about pre-ordering the hype.
@Acillatem1993 I heard a rumour that they expect it to come to PC next March (or Q1 2015); because everyone will still care about Destiny in 6 months, right?
@bunchanumbers Everyone had review copies, but the servers were empty, which makes reviews hard in a multiplayer game. They used this same format to review The Elder Scrolls Online.
@redtrevize 1886? Has almost the exact opposite problems to this game. Hasn't had much of a hype train around it since the gameplay issues started becoming apparent back at E3.
