Video games like anything in large dosses can be really bad for you. The simple number of kids these days overweight or obese is evidence enough that too much time is spent indoors infront of a tv or a computer (could be watching tv or playing games) Whether or not there is an 'addiction' in general i think kids (and some adults) spend too much time indoors in virtual worlds to the neglect of their health, physically and emotionally.
