It's been a while since I posted anything so I figured, why not? Probably should update my game collection as well:D

GTA Chinatown Wars on iPhone
by jgon_9 on Comments
Just got it for my iPhone and it's amazing. The controls take a bit of time getting used to, but it is really fun. Only sucks that it's the same story I already played on the DS version. But, still awesome to play. Now if only I can get some more maps for Call of Duty: Zombies for my iPhone, I'd be set. :)
Cancelled Gametap Subscription
by jgon_9 on Comments
After about a month running Windows 7 64-bit, I've decided to cancel my premium subscription to Gametap. Having used the service for over 2 years, it was a bit sad. However, the lack of support for 64-bit games made this necessary. Shortly before I went to 64-bit, Gametap announced official support for 64-bit and that all their games would eventually be converted over. Since then only the same 12 old games have been on the list, while new games I have wanted to play were released on 32-bit only. Looks like it is now time to give Steam more of my gaming dollars.
In the end, it's crap like this that just makes it easier to play my PS3.
5th Anniversary on Gamespot!

Just noticed that its been 5 years since I joined Gamespot. Really Cool stuff. Well back to PS3 now :D
I've Finally Entered the Current Generation!

And the winner is....
PLAYSTATION 3!!!!!
The slim design, lower price and reliable hardware were the reason I went with Sony. A 56% failure rate for a Xbox 360, means the odds were that I would experience a hardware failure if I went that route.
The design is great, the games are awesome and there are a lot of extras on there.
Finally a current gen console that has all I want: Slim PS3
by jgon_9 on Comments
I've been waiting and waiting and waiting, but finally a console has come out to replace my PS2 slim and its the new PS3 Slim. It has the following things I waited for:
- a lot of storage
- smaller size
- internal wi-fi
- price tag at $300 or less
Now I just need to wait for it to come out. 8)
Final Fantasy VII on PSP
by jgon_9 on Comments
About a month ago I downloaded Final Fantasy VII from the PSP. Something I've dreamed about as soon as I heard about PS One classics coming to PSP. After playing it for 5 hours in a row, all I can say is WOW. I still love this game and Sony did a great job with the emulation. The controls are great and there's a lot of customization. For example you can edit the controls, screen and sound. It also has the entire manual built into the pause menu, graphics and everything. The save system also works well.
Of course all this fun does require space to store. I had to grab an 8 GB memory stick to go with my PSP 3000. With that storage I don't see myself getting a PSP Go anytime soon, when it comes out. The ease of use of the PlayStation Store and being able to bring multiple games with me without having to dead with multiple UMD's is great.

The Best Portable Gaming Experience: a Netbook
by jgon_9 on Comments
I just got my Acer Aspire One netbook and I've got to say it's the best option out there for portable gaming. It may cost a little more than a PSP, but you get a whole lot more. A full computer, 160 GB of storage space and 3 hours of battery power. I've popped a few games on there. Mostly classic games, but it's awesome so far.
With downloadable games from services such as Gametap and GOG you can bring a whole bunch of games, along with movies, music, pictures, documents and pretty much any program that runs on Windows.
