I've pre-ordered Guitar Hero 3 but after looking at their forums I'm beginning to regret it.

The amount of issues that are being reported about the controller, specifically the detachable neck and sticking buttons, is unprecedented. There a number of fixes (or bodges) suggested on the forum but surely this means that RedOctane haven't tested this controller extensively.

My biggest questions are why hasn't RedOctane acknowledged these issues and why haven't the gaming press (gamespot included) not cottoned on to it?

The controller issue needs to be resolved, not just to prevent the inevitable slaying by Rock Band, but to satisfy gamers who have, or will be purchasing, the next installment of this fantastic series.

Any thoughts?
