Gonna be a junior in college

Unfortunately it's time for me to go back to school. I've never been this poor in my life, but I'm optimistic things will be all right. I've made it halfway through my college education and I'm looking forward to it being over. To anyone else who's going through monetary struggles like I am, good luck to yeh and you have my respect *brofist*

I may stay a while

I haven't been active here in years, but I decided to come back on a whim. Looks like all the people I knew are gone, so I'm not sure who I'm writing this to, but it looks like I'm here to stay.

I wonder if anyone even tracks me anymore...

My, it certainly has been a while. The past year has been very good to me and I'm enjoying my last year of high school quite well. I'm trying to juggle six college courses, band, quiz bowl, and FBLA all at once. The challenge is keeping me busy, so there's not much of a chance of me being regular on this site again. However, I will probably pop in every now and then. I get a little nostalgic sometimes. Best wishes.

Surgery Hurts

I recently had the pleasure of getting my wisdom teeth removed. To give you an idea of how it feels, here's me post-op:

yeah...

ouchies

Anyone ever have a tooth abscess?  If anyone has, maybe we can talk about excruciating pain sometime.  Also, I'm tired of putting paragraph tags at the end of half my posts.

I want to die

I haven't been this sick in a very long time. The five hour nap didn't help things either. In fact, it made things worse. I think my fever is breaking now though. Also, I haven't been here in a long time. I'm starting to get bored of this place to be honest.

The last two months in a nutshell

Got Mozilla Firefox

Going on vacation in a week

uploaded two youtube videos

started playing MMO GunZ

been putting off a blog post

got Fraps

uninstalled fraps

trolled youtube comments (always fun)

saw Hellboy 2

Helped a friend of mine on his eagle scout project

lost a little weight (175 now)

probably gained it back yesterday (pizza is delicious)

watched over 100 whose line is it anyway clips

That's pretty much it. I've been missing a lot of blogs lately. I apologise. Please forgive.

Mario Kart Wii has set the standard for Wii online

When I first tried Mario Kart's online, I was very pleasently surprised. No more friend code bullcrap. Strangely enough, the matchmaking system reminds me of Halo 3. After a very short wait, you are matched with a group of random people. Then, you can vote on which track you want.

Speaking of tracks, Nintendo really outdid itself on the new tracks. Some of them, like Toad's Factory, Coconut Mall, Moonview Highway, and DK Summit are the most fun tracks I have raced on in any racing game. I do have one major problem, however. THE ITEMS! I can't tell you how many times I've had the lead, been hit with one of those leader-seeking shells, then hit by a red shell, then squished by someone with a mega-mushroom, and ended up in last place. It doesn't kill the game, but it makes it very frustrating.

And by the way, if you thought I was going to go an entire blog post without mentioning Guitar Hero, you're out of luck. I must say, I have seen a little reason in all of the new GH games. Each one targets a different audience, save for On Tour. (God knows what they were thinking.) I guess I just care way too much about the games. I'm even an admin on the Guitar Hero wiki. I promise I'll not say a word about it in the next blog. Until that next blog,

Time for a birthday blog

Once again, jim_shorts has grown a year olderI don't really celebrate my birthday anymore, but for old time's sake:

On that note, I got my hands on Resident Evil 4 for Wii. The aiming is so much easier, I don't think I can ever play it on PS2 ever again. The same thing happened on Metroid Prime. I'm telling you though, that merchant is the coolest person who ever lived. Not only can he be in 83 places at the same time, I found him on the floor of a pit with spikes everywhere. On the other end of the spectrum, we have Ashley, the most helpless person ever found in a game. Seriously, climb down the damn ladder on your own. I finished it in just over 13 hours. I'm starting again and saving up for the infinite rocket launcher.

until next time
