The visuals are too bland to even care about.

One must ask, "If people want to continuously play games, why do we bother them?", they understand what they are doing, if they want to stop they really should be able to, its not a narcotic or an addictive substance or the thought of winning big time, and if the "addicts" want to stop they should find something else to do. Some games, however, are time suckers, but if you put into perspective on how high the enjoyment factor of the game is and how much you want to keep playing you realise that it's not an addiction but an extremely enjoyable game. For example, I play on average 6 hours of games a week, when I played Oblivion that number spiked so much that it was uncountable, yet my social skills did not falter nor my school results fall below 80%. I loved the game and didn't want to stop, but not because of addiction, but of pure enjoyment, so these people can stop easily by getting involved with another hobby or something else enjoyable, but when they play they understand how much fun it is and shouldn't care about the negatives if they enjoy it so much, and as I said before, it's built for entertainment purposes, not an addictive drug or substance thats been abused.
