hi i hope someone can help

i recently got an hd-tv so have been getting alot of blu rays recently all working fine and everything, however i just bought x-men and quantum of solace

to find that they dont work, (all other blu-rays i own continue to work).

i noticed that they were both dual layer discs and assumed that to be the problem.

why wont my ps3 play dual layer blu-rays

it comes up with the red screen telling me that i need to update the blu-ray firmware to play the movies... however my ps3 firmware is up to date

could it be something to do with the laser... please help!

Just wondered who got the new PS3 Slim, ive already got an old one wondered if it was worth getting the new one?
