Okay, so I bought a used GameCube and got $10 insurance on it for a full year.
First: They forgot the power and a/v cables. I had to walk BACK to the store (a 30 minute trip I'd already made twice that day). Then: The GameCube had troubles loading and saving from memory cards. So, went back to the store (different day) and replaced the Cube. Next: Got Resident Evil 4, which was the first game to show that the C-stick didn't work correctly. Went back again to replace the controller. At this point, I no longer had anything of the original system that I bought.
Now: Disc Read Errors. WTF??? I've never heard of that happening on anything other than a PS2. I don't get "disc read error" on the screen, persay, but it fails to recognize the disc is in there. I tried four discs, all unsuccessful. Then I tried Resident Evil 4 again, and it worked. So, now, I'm going to have to go BACK to the store AGAIN to exchange this machine.
Does this sound familiar to any of you? Has this happened to you guys? I've NEVER in my life had problems with this store before, but now I can't seem to get a working system.

Same here, but two games instead of one. Super Mario Sunshine Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door I really only bought the GameCube for those two Mario games and Resident Evil 4. MAYBE I'll get Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, but I don't know.

You can really only compare it with respect to things like the races. I mean, you see the world in completely different ways between Tactics/Tactics Advance and XII. I really love the races. I mean, there are other things that you can see; it's not like the worlds entirely different, it's just that it's hard to really explain. I love Ivalice in all of the entries it's featured in.
I see. I haven't played FFT or Tactics Advance so Ivalice is (will be) new to me once I get to playing through 12. From what I've seen of it so far, I think I'll like it. Stupid Finals keeping me from playing. :evil:
