Okay. I am so feeling de javu with this title. Like as in - super cool graphics, super cool new kind of world, everyone hungry for a really good Zelda game again - and the "newest" platform is getting out-dated at the same time.

Sure, sure, they SAY it's for the Wii U, but it's going to take another year to get to the market…and that is exactly what they said about Twilight Princess when they were making it for the GC. (TP is beautiful on the GC, by the way - definitely *made* for it.) And then, bam, just about when TP was supposed to come out onto the market for GC, they delayed it. Why? Because they decided "last minute" to port it to the "da-da-da-daaa" Newest Platform in the works - the Wii. (And it sucked on the Wii from all reports I've heard.)

I am sooo feeling the same vibes for this coming Zelda game. So I am NOT holding my breath, since it won't come out until 2016 - bundled with the new hardware. Maybe they will half-heartedly still sell it for Wii U (like they did TP for GC), maybe not…

And when it does finally come to market, will Nintendo play the same sales game as last time and only sell extremely limited numbers of the new platform for the first two-three years so those of us hungry to play the new game have to wait additional years to be able to even buy the "new" platform? (Still fuming from that sales decision - can you tell? I ended up not getting a Wii until late 2013, and then I made sure it was old, refurbished, minimal $$ going back to Nintendo and we've only purchased 3 games for it. If Nintendo has a repeat performance of THAT trick, they've lost my business for good. We'll just keep playing the old Zelda games and ignore the new ones. GC has been their best platform ever, hands down, and they trashed it early for the Wii. )

So…anyone who was paying attention back then see the same handwriting on the wall?
