The PS3 and 360 have a few great exclusives coming and many multiplats worth mentioning, GTAIV, DMCIV and Burnout Paradise are the first that come to mind.

And I say "it's the Wii's 2nd year" because I expect that after its insane sales that devs would focus more on the system but I dunno what's going on. Still no major announcements and while the system does have a few cool looking exclusives, the lineup doesn't consist of as many big names/anticipated titles like the PS3/360 lineups do.

I wanna see something like KH3 come to Wii. If Nintendo can secure that exclusive with SE, that would be very impressive. They have the sales to prove that the game would sell well on their system so I see no reason why it couldn't happen.

the-very-best

Devs are afraid of competing against Nintendo. They claim that Wii owners only buy first party games, but they haven't made any AAA-quality titles for it. Or some foolish devs still think the Wii will fizzle out. If they want to leave so much money on the table, so be it.

It'll certianly own your wallet, LOLwok7

Not really since the games are $10-$20 less than console games on average, and even cheaper if you reside in Europe.

Then why are developers jumping to game consoles if PC games sales are so great. You'd be surprised at how many people care about game sales. PC gaming is about 1.2 billion a year and Console gaming is like 13 billion a year. You think developers/publishers don't care about that? There are the people making the games you play on the PC. So it effects you as well.

Console and handheld maybe, but definitely not just consoles. Plus, there are 3 consoles (4 if you want to include the PS2) and 2 handhelds, so that number isn't too impressive

are less people interested in all these games that are listed. So you can say , "Oh dear God", all you want, but developer already know where the money is at, which explain why games like Surpreme Command and Far Cry 2 are being made for the game consoles now. Obviously PC game sales aren't cutting it for developersand they are jumping ship to make their games for the 360, PS3 and Wii.

And both of those games will fail on consoles, especially Supreme Commander.

[QUOTE="mis3ry"]StarCraft is reason alone to be a PC gamer in 2008. All these other good games are just a bonus.XanderZane

Starcraft is one of the only reasons to jump back on the PC. There are a few decent PC games coming out, but most of the above games you listed won't even sell over 200,000 copies.

PC games I want to check out: Spore, WoW:WotLK, Dragon Age, StarCraft 2 & Fantasy Wars. That's about it. My list of XBox 360, PS3 and Wii games are must larger.

Who cares about sales. Besides, a PC game doesn't need to sell anywhere near as well as PS3/360 games to make a profit. Plus, the PC gets the most quality games every year.

There are 369,000 playing COD4 on the 360 right now compared to 41,000 on the PC. Outside of the first Counter Strike which is still the most popular shooter how many PC shooters have at least 50,000 players usually online? I cannot think of any.Deihmos

And? The PC version will last longer anyways.

[QUOTE="jbz7890"]So the 360 generally sells more software than the wii and the ps3 COMBINED and then this week it somehow sells less than both of them? This chart is way off.Zaistev_basic

In the U.S., but not WW.

Some people just don't get it

USA =/= Worldwide

NPD =/= Worldwide

One would think everyone would know that already.
