My friend recently brought over C&C3 and let me try it out. After 2 missions in the Single player the disc repeaditly freezes. Im quite interested in the game, but i'm worried that: A I won't be able to get into the multiplayer if its to competitive (haven't given it a try yet) B: the single player alone isn't worth the purchase. Do you guys think the single player is worth the price?

What non-AAA title have you played that really impressed you. Something that rated a little sub par, but you still really enjoyed for some reason.
Mine has to be Ninety-Nine Nights. I got it as something cheap to tide me over, but ended up playing the hell out of it (got every achievement).
Hey, I'm looking for Action Adventure game, preferable with some RPG elements in it. My budget is a little low, but i don't mind playing older games. I've played fable 2. Any suggestions?
Thx in advance
[QUOTE="joeboxer1001"]I've read alot of posts complaining about the cost of PCs compared to consoles, but they are always ignoring a big fact, you already have a computer. This doesn't include everyone, but a majority of people on these forums have one. Now instead of having a computer and a console, PC gamers spend their money on a better PC. Say a cheap PC for consol gamers would cost $3-400, while consoles range from $250-600. My PC cost me $800 2 years ago, and is still running new end games at near top settings (1 upgrade included in price). Anyone owning a PC and a PS3 has already went over that price, while other console (or mulitple console owners) are atleast near that price. This is even excluding that PC games cost less than Console games and the amount of things a new end PC can do over a low end one.
Now the first arguement to this will probably be that i will have to upgrade sooner then the next generation of consoles comes out, and that is true. But the few hundred dollars I spend to upgrade in the next years wont put me so significantly above a console owner. My main point I hope people can take out of this post is that the majority of PC gamers dont pay 2 to 3 times the amount console players do, im sure some PC gamers do, while some console gamers also own all 3 systems. I'm trying not to get my hopes up on the fact that fanboys will probably ravage this topic.

Next time if you try to copy my thread do it right please.
Becuase I'm very sure you are the very first person to ever come up with that idea, but if you excuse ur originality, and well written typos, I do apalogize for trying to copy your thread. I mean here I thought i could get away with it, not knowing you would be scanning the forum for me. Maybe if you pull something out of ur ass, people would care what you say though
Some of us have these computers called "notebooks". They're about the size of, well, a notebook, and they tend to be useless for gaming, but very useful if you need to be able to take your computer anywhere. They're hugely popular nowadays.
Others of us have these computers called "Macs". They're quite a bit nicer than PCs, except for gaming, and are very useful if (like me) you find them quite a bit more pleasant to use. (Note: to anyone planning on posting a "Macs are for stupid people" argument, please spare us the trouble, put a pistol in your mouth, and blow your useless, ignorant brains out. Be considerate; lay a tarp down first.)
Some of us even have a computer that falls into both of these categories. So, no, your argument that we can all simply upgrade to a gaming PC doesn't hold water.

Well see, I kinda mentioned PC quite a few times throughout, sorry, i assume i was being to subtle but that doesn't include macs. Another indicator is the fact I said something about gaming and you have a Mac. I wont say they are for stupid people, they far outdo PCs in movie, music and picture programs, but gameing really isnt their strongpoint.
I see your point, and the arguement doesnt hold up to people that have laptops, but as I see it, notebooks arn't primarily used as gaming platforms. The few that are were the extrememes that spend thousands to achieve such and therefor almost not worth mentioning. That really just adds to base cost of the computer of the person that owns a console, instead of increasing the cost of a gaming PC i think you were trying for.
Finally you missed the point entirelly, it wasn't that you can sinply upgrade to a gaming PC, its the fact that a little more money on the PC people already have could have created a gaming PC. Most of the time, the diffrence is less then that spent on the console. Most basic computers are a lost cause if they're trying to upgrade them to a gaming platform
And how many hours are spent finding drivers for some games and how many times does the system crash.jimm895
Actually I have never had this problem. But ive also never had any console of mine break, which seems to be a constant occurance to others.
