For Pete’s sake, another cartoon hero shooter? How many weeks until this one dies out? Is there anyone at all that can make a competent free-to-play game that doesn’t involve cartoon graphics and heroes? Every big publisher has released the same exact garbage.

They really shouldn’t announce games that are still years away.

We all know how Arma releases go. It will take another 2-4 years, after release, to patch it up. So 2030-ish?

@mogan: agreed. These games provide some of the best feelings of progression.

This game looks f*cking fantastic. I’m glad that they stuck to making the game hard. It sounds like a true sequel to the originals. There’s a learning curve, but the game will get easier and more fun as you progress and get better gear. I look forward to dying 100 times and reminding myself to be patient and careful.

We need games like this to break from the typical run n gun rainbow outfit arcade shooters. I don’t expect a 10/10 here, but I can rest easy knowing that this game will be the best FPS of the last decade; also that I will be challenged, punished and glued from beginning to end. I’m really looking forward to this one.

@adrardohan: 60fps is a good standard. 1080p is also fine. I started gaming in the late 90s and I’ve really come to appreciate 4k and higher frame rates. Mostly the higher frame rates, though.

I strongly prefer the original FF7 on PC with graphics mods. All good though. You have a good one as well!

@adrardohan: shouldn’t be a problem at all. 144fps @4k.

There’s even a toggle for the old graphics and framerate if you want to switch back and forth during live gameplay.

@adrardohan: The graphics and performance got a big upgrade and so did the controls.

@raggedyman: hmm, I’m not sure what’s going on with that. Maybe they’re pushing Blood Omen out further. It will be in the catalog by the end of the year, though.
