I love The Witcher. I’ll see it through to the end and give him a chance, but I’m sure the show itself will remain a huge disappointment, even if Liam does a good job.
“Dangerous and sexy” is not how anyone would describe the John Wick movies. I’m hoping for the best and I’ll watch it at home, but I’m not expecting much.
Yessir. As long as they have it in 4k@60fps, this is a day one purchase for me. Hopefully they’ve updated the camera and controls also. Nothing more is necessary. People always clamor for remakes, but remakes always lose a lot of the charm in the remake process.
Nonsense free, badass action characters, masculine men, action packed gameplay from start to finish, quality over quantity, SP, MP, Co-op included, no micros, polished on launch, no agendas, no cringe-quirk characters or dialogue, lore accurate… I could go on.
Games like this need to be developed forever. I love me some deep RPGs and tactical games, but I also love a good action packed, no-nonsense romp of a game. SM2 has flaws, of course, but this is how this kind of game is done right. I can only hope that Gears of War: E-Day follows suit.
@girlusocrazy: Ah, I wasn’t aware of that. Maybe it’ll have increased draw distances or something. That just means that it’s even more of a missed opportunity. What a shame.
@dominicwow: it will already be 4k@60fps on PS5. I don’t think the Pro will add anything graphically. It’s a huge missed opportunity to add raytracing, deferred lighting and up to date textures (as up to date as “block” textures can get anyways). The Pro can definitely handle all of that and there’s support for upscaling (DLSS, etc.), so the PS5 could even take advantage of their in house upscaling if they needed to. I have it all on my PC and it looks fantastic. I can’t ever go back to playing the normal Minecraft.
@BLKCrystilMage: those types of games typically get 6-8/10, so I’d say it’s a decent endorsement, which is all I’m trying to give it. Better than those games, so somewhere between 7-9/10, which lines up accurately with what I’m trying to say.
@BLKCrystilMage: that depends on who you ask, but no, there hasn’t been anything as good as those two, which is why I went all the way back to them. This certainly won’t reach that height either, but I think it will be better than Ubisoft games and most souls like clones.
