@hardwenzen: I took your for a person of more common sense than that. I did have the original PS4. I wasn’t very happy with it. I traded it in during BestBuy’s upgrade trade-in promotion and only paid $100 for the Pro when it released.

The PS4 Pro didn’t have the same graphical settings as a base PS4. The pro provided stable framerates, often a higher framerate (from 30-60), 1440p-4k resolution, improved textures, better shadows, improved rendering distance, HDR and a handful of other things. It was a bit hit or miss with the each title, but overall PS4 Pro games got a nice enhancement. All I know is that my eyes were very grateful and I was finally able to enjoy playing a PS4, for the most part.

@hardwenzen: to each their own. I would never choose to own a base PS4 over a Pro. The pro made a big enough difference for me to never go back. PS5 pro sounds like what the PS5 was supposed to be. Actual 120fps games in 1440p-4k without taking a graphics hit, or at least not taking much of one. And those games that are stuck at 30-40fps will now be a solid 60fps. It all depends on preference. I get a headache when games are too blurry or when they move at 25-30fps. Recent games have been struggling pretty badly with performance.

I’m sure there will be a lot of negative and disgruntled players, but I’m all for it. Better graphics, better performance. Win-win. PS5 is already showing its age, because new technology has been on the rise. A PS5 Pro will catch it back up. I’m also loving the fact that they’re developing their own upscaling technology. FSR is terrible and DLSS costs too much money for 3rd parties to implement. I’m sure PSSR will look equal to DLSS, if not better since it’s built specifically for PS5 only. I don’t care much for current raytracing on console. Hopefully the pro will bring some heat in that department. Path tracing is where it’s at and that only runs good enough on PC at the moment.

@deltafive: very educated perspective. There’s nothing emo about Pattinson’s batman. In fact, he doesn’t have much emotion at all, other than rage. He’s a recluse trying to protect people and stay hidden. Can’t blame him for not wanting to be around the media, go to parties and pretend to be somebody that he’s not even remotely interested in being. He’s not depressed and emo.

That said, I’ve never liked Bale’s Batman very much. His Batman voice is horrible and his Bruce Wayne is on-point for what it’s supposed to be, but I’m not much a fan of his personality. I think he made the worst Bruce out of all of them. Even Clooney was better in that regard. Only that regard though.

Anyway, everyone has their own taste in Batman. I like Pattinson and Kilmer and I’ll die on that hill. Different personalities harbor different tastes and that’s okay. I’m looking forward to Batman 2. Shame it got delayed by another year.

@probable: I’m not “trusting” anything, except my own judgement and that I’m capable of gathering information and forming my own opinion. This review is enough to tell me that I have a higher opinion of Part 2 than Part 1. I disagree with some things in this review and I agree with others. Don’t necessarily need to play it to know what I do and don’t like. I’ve played enough games to know what I like and dislike already. I played Remake and I know what I liked and disliked in that game, which is how I know even more about what I do and don’t like in Rebirth. That’s how I know that this game will be an improvement over the original for me. But hey, argue all you’d like.

@G-Corleone: what’s there to think about? Just because one game gets a 10, doesn’t mean the sequel will automatically get or deserve a 10. I feel like the FF7 Remake is more of a 7/10. If this is an 8, then it’s an improvement and that’s exactly what it looks like to me. Maybe I’ll pick it up at some point.
