NOTE: also after you bridge the connections on your laptop you may need to restart the 360 for it to work, the computer shouldnt need to be, but if its not owrking it wouldn't hurt.
Well I was wrong you don't need to share the connection on the Internet NIC, all you should have to do is bridge the connection between the two and you should be good to go. I have had the problem before where the internet wouldn't work on the PC but I got it to work again somehow I will have to think about how I did that. But niether of the connections should be shared. And I don't think it has to do with live cause I am on live right now through a bridged connection
OK I do this all the time as well, its actually really simple and I have never had any of those issues and I have done it on both my Desktop and Laptop. All you do is in your network connections on Vista or XP you just select the Wireless Card or NIC that is connecting to the internet and then the other NIC that is connected to the 360 ethernet port and then right click one of the two you selected and click bridge connections. I think I also had to do a share connection on the NIC/Wireless card that connects to the internet but not sure I will have to check my Vista PC. I have never heard of this issue the guy was talking about earlier where he would lose his connection on restart or screensaver, I just have my 360 birdged to my Desktop so when ever it is on I can get on live.
Don't worry about it overheating, I got mine launch day almost 2 years ago and I have never had a single problem and I play it quite a bit. I am sure I have played it more then 3 hours a day quite a bit. Just my 2 cents. Oh and you are making the right decision on a 360, I have a wii too and I play my 360 about 10 times more.
I Like it a lot, I haven't bought one since Madden 04 for PS2 and The last two years on Xbox 360 didn't have fantasy draft which pissed me off, but its finally back in this one and I like it a lot.
I think 4 is probably the best ,mainly because of the casino level that is a blast, 6 and 7 are fun though cause they add the microphone which is kind of dumb but fun still. They are all a lot of fun though.
I would recommend the Westinghouse personally, me and a freind both bought one at blackfriday last year. Niether one of us has had any problems, great TV works great for HD games and HD TV, the one I have is not 1080p only 1080i but other wise I have no compliants, thats my 2 cents.
Depends if you have more then one system in my opinion, I have a wii and x360 so I can get games for both and I rent quite a few games so I think its worth it, if you rent a lot of games and have multiple systems I say its worth getting, its only like 16$ a month for 1 game out, thats like 2 maybe 3 rentals at hollywood, maybe you should use your coupons first then sign up for gamefly.
